Mental health support for employees should be a no-brainer. But sadly, it's still a topic of debate. Do you know how much mental illness costs the US each year? A whopping $3.7 trillion. That's more than diabetes or even heart disease. Investing in mental health & providing a safe, supportive work environment for your employees is not only the right thing to do, but it also helps your business succeed. When employers support mental health…. -Employees are happier & stay longer. -Employees become more productive & do their best work. -Employees feel cared for & valued. -Employees engage more & tend to be more satisfied with their jobs. Which simply means more success and revenue for any business. Let us help you take care of your employees by providing the services and experts that will help them feel their best to do their best!

Now is the time for women and survivors of trauma to demonstrate support for breakthrough healing treatments that will help 13 million Americans living with PTSD.  Read my TIME article and please share widely 🙏 This Friday the @FDA will make a decision that can either enable or block access to MDMA Assisted Therapy that could help so many, especially veterans and women survivors of sexual violence. Every 68 seconds an American is sexually assaulted. 91% of victims are women. This silent violence is perpetuated by social stigma and shame. Until today, women have been mostly silent when we are the largest population in urgent and desperate need of access to this therapy. But it is time for a movement to demand access to healing now. Join me in calling on the FDA to approve MDMA Assisted Therapy now!  https://lnkd.in/gucaC9hV #MDMA4PTSD #FDA #ApproveMDMATherapy @FDA @ProteaFoundation

This is Your Brain on Magic Mushrooms! 🍄🧠 A new #Nature study led by Josh Siegel shows that high doses of psilocybin cause widespread changes in brain function, desynchronizing brain activity and altering our sense of self, time, and space. This desynchronization may drive brain plasticity triggered by psych€-delics. 🍄 Researchers tracked healthy adults before, during, and weeks after a psilocybin dose. They found profound desynchronization across the cerebral cortex and subcortex, especially in the default mode network (DMN), crucial for our sense of self. 🧠 Psilocybin’s disruptive effects decreased when participants focused on simple tasks, suggesting a basis for grounding during psychedelic therapy. 🍄 The study also showed a lasting decrease in connectivity between the anterior hippocampus and DMN circuits, controlling self-oriented thinking and memory. This shift might change how someone perceives their place and story in the world, potentially explaining psilocybin’s antidepressant effects. This study is likely the most advanced and extensive study on the brain effects of psych€-delics ever conducted, involving roughly 18 magnetic imaging visits per participant. Psychedelic science is moving fast, very curious for what will come next. https://lnkd.in/dgX-VhJB #mentalhealth #psychiatry #neuroscience #pharmacology

TO MY COMMUNITY: PLEASE SIGN THIS PETITION TO SUPPORT MDMA-ASSISTED THERAPY FOR PTSD The FDA is on the verge of making a critical decision regarding the approval of MDMA-assisted therapy for PTSD. Unfortunately, a recent recommendation from the FDA Advisory Committee opposed this approval, despite the significant potential benefits for millions living with PTSD. Clinical trials have demonstrated remarkable results, with 71% of participants no longer meeting the diagnostic criteria for PTSD after MDMA-assisted therapy. This therapy could offer a transformative solution for those struggling with this challenging condition. The FDA's final decision is due in August 2024. Your support is vital to help make this life-changing treatment available. By signing the petition, you can make a real difference. Every day without this treatment, we risk losing more lives to the devastating impact of PTSD. The time to act is NOW. And it takes two minutes! Sign the petition here: https://lnkd.in/eWqzmpHT Thank you for your support!
