Enviva produces wood pellets using responsible sourcing practices that keep our forests thriving, healthy, and growing. We work diligently to ensure that forests are not converted to another land use. We only source from landowners who intend to return their land to forest, and the market we create for low-value wood is important for landowners. In areas where we operate, we can show that forest inventory has increased after we arrive.

Switching from coal to wood bioenergy makes economic and environmental sense. Our sustainable wood pellets can reduce greenhouse gas emissions up to 85 percent on a lifecycle basis, and our supply chain is reliable and scalable.
