Timothy Brown, PE, Project Manager at EEA, had a great time golfing with Grace Redovich, Katie Smith, and Thomas Kral at the annual Lean Construction Institute Golf Outing. The event, which took place at Fire Ridge Golf Course in Grafton, WI, featured a few LEAN inspired holes that included fun challenges and promoted team building. Our team was especially proud to boast 1 minute 18 seconds on the “Speed Hole,” where team members spread out throughout the fairway and green, working together to finish the hole as quickly as possible. Thank you to the LCI for hosting a wonderful event!

A rainy day did not ruin our annual company picnic last week. Moving inside to the Perkowitz Art Studio in Grayslake, EEA had a great teambuilding experience as we painted a Starry Night sky behind the Chicago skyline. The cloudy day didn’t keep EEA's Mike Renner and Trish Haddon away from the Near South Planning Board’s annual lunch cruise. A great day full of networking and beautiful Chicago River views. It was especially exciting to see some of our signature urban projects lining the river path. As we close out #ParkAndRecreationMonth, a throw back to the ribbon cutting for The City of Bloomington’s O’Neil Park & Aquatics Center. As a subconsultant to Williams Architects, EEA provided the civil designs for the demolition of the existing public pool facility and construction of new aquatics center that includes lazy river, slides, diving boards, and a wide variety of water features to be used by patrons. Congrats to the whole project team on a job well done! The pool is now up and running, having opened earlier this summer, just in time for this year’s swimming season. #CivilEngineering #Aquatics #Demolition #NewConstruction

Another great topping off event in Chicago’s Fulton Market District! 919 W Fulton, designed by FitzGerald and constructed by Skender, will be one of Fulton Market’s largest office buildings, with a 530,000-square-foot development spanning 11 stories.
