Summer is here! Which also means it’s time to highlight some important sun safety tips to keep you safe and protected while you enjoy those rays – in all seasons! 1. Apply Sunscreen - Wear water-resistant sunscreen of SPF 30 or higher and continue to reapply every 2 hours. 2. Wear Protective Clothing: Wear light-colored, loose fitting protective clothing, like long-sleeved shirts and pants, when appropriate. 3. Seek Shade: Take breaks in the shade and stay hydrated. 4. Wear Sunglasses: Wear UV-protective sunglasses, even on a cloudy day. 5. Put on a Hat: Wear a wide-brimmed hat that protects your head and face. Apply sunscreen to ears and back of neck. #safetyculture #healthandsafety #workplacewellness

Another Monday, another awesome summer intern to spotlight! This week we’re getting to know Jacob Prevatt! Jacob is a Geography major at UNC Charlotte and is spending the summer interning with our survey group in Cornelius, NC. Jacob has been busy diving into the world of survey and learning the basics, like using a data collector to complete various survey tasks. Jacob is eager to gain a deeper understanding of each job’s processes and develop the skills needed to perform each task independently. His favorite aspect of the internship so far has been the willingness of his office colleagues and fellow crew member to help guide him toward becoming a better surveyor. We’re thrilled to have Jacob on the ESP team this summer and look forward to seeing all he will accomplish during his internship! #surveying #internship #mentoring
