We are thrilled to introduce Loren Jacome, MHA, CSBI, CPXP as our new Director of Patient Experience at Essen! Loren is a dedicated and versatile healthcare administrative professional with over 15 years of immersive experience in the healthcare sector. She will lead initiatives to enhance our patients' experiences, aiming to make Essen the preferred choice for our patients. Loren's efforts will focus on supporting our teams to deliver consistent, exceptional experiences that complement the high-quality care provided, becoming the recommended choice for our patients' families and friends. A native of Washington Heights, NYC, Loren holds a Master's degree in Healthcare Administration and is accredited as a Business Intelligence specialist by the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA). Fluent in Spanish and Portuguese and certified as a medical interpreter, she has extensive experience in major NYC hospitals, including Memorial Sloan Kettering and Hospital for Special Surgery. Loren has held pivotal roles in patient-facing and leadership capacities, most notably with the Global Patient Services population at New York Presbyterian Hospital. Recently, as Patient Experience Manager for the New Jersey Region at Optum, she achieved a remarkable 9-point increase in the Net Promoter Score for 150 practices across New Jersey within just 10 months! In her spare time, Loren volunteers with the Emmanuel Foundation NY, teaching financial literacy to underserved communities, and at the Apostolic Assembly’s Temple Emanuel, guiding children and adolescents in integrating core Christian values into their everyday lives. Loren is committed to patient and family-centered service excellence, demonstrated through strong working relationships across large healthcare enterprises.
