🌍✨ Proud to share that our BARCOVE Spin-Off project took center stage at the Global Youth Climate Summit 2024, hosted by Klimatorium - Danmarks Internationale Klimacenter! This impactful day allowed us to present our project results to a diverse audience of students, teachers, policymakers, and company professionals, all united in their dedication to climate action and education. The day began with students sharing personal stories of their connections to water—a powerful reminder of its role in all our lives. It was especially moving to hear from our partner school, EFA La Malvesia, as their students shared experiences that deepened our collective understanding of water's significance. Adding to the inspiration, we had the extraordinary opportunity to attend a presentation by ESA astronaut Andreas Mogensen. His insights from space and his perspective on water in a global context left us with a renewed sense of purpose and a broader view of our interconnected world. 🌌💧 After lunch, Green Academy’s dedicated teachers, Anne-Marie Thomassen and Boncho Kostadinov, led an informative session on pressurized rainwater systems as part of the BARCOVE project. Students from Jordbrugets UddannelsesCenter Århus / Green Academy participated both online and in person, making the most of this valuable learning experience. The Czech CoVE #GreenCities2030plus 🌱 led a survey on urban green space management in Central Bohemia 🏙️. Conducted from May to June 2024 📅 with ten municipalities, it highlighted greenery practices 🌳, assessed its importance, and identified training priorities 📈. On October 16th, Juan Manuel Mondéjar, Head of Landscaping Consulting Area at Projar Group and an active member of the EPLUG and BARCOVE project, participated in the AIRinVET Symposium, "Made in VET – Applied Research and Innovation," which took place at Tknika in Donostia-San Sebastián (Spain). The event gathered experts from across Europe to explore the role of applied research and innovation in vocational education and training (VET) and its importance in driving European competitiveness, supporting the green and digital transition. Alongside representatives from Tknika, EURASHE, and Solski, Mondéjar shared insights on how the BARCOVE project was developed, as well as the current state of research and innovation in VET centers across Europe. He also had the opportunity to present the BARCOVE project to a wider audience, along with representatives from the CHALLENGER and AIRinVET projects. 🌱 At Green Academy, We're Running a Course for 11 Educators from Across Europe! 🌍 We are currently hosting 11 teachers from 🇳🇱 Netherlands, 🇳🇴 Norway, 🇮🇪 Ireland, and 🇸🇪 Sweden for our "Biodiversity with a Purpose" course.
