About us
EverFree empowers survivors and unites communities through 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮, 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲, and 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 to end exploitation. Our Why. Freedom is a basic human right, yet 50 million people live in modern slavery. The world is failing them as less than 1% of survivors are identified and even less receive the care they need. Global crises fuel modern slavery and current solutions are fragmented. 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀. Our Work. We work towards freedom for all with three survivor-led solutions to end modern slavery and exploitation: - 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗼𝗺 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗽: 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗼𝗺 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 & 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮. We use Freedom Lifemap to better understand vulnerabilities and scale better care for survivors and communities. - 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝘃𝗶𝘃𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲: 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗼𝗺 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝘃𝗶𝘃𝗼𝗿𝘀. Our Safe Homes and Career & Education Centers support survivors with the care and opportunities they need to attain freedom forever. - 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸: 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗼𝗺 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗹𝗹. With Freedom Lifemap data, we unite communities to improve care and prevent exploitation. Message us if you'd like to join our movement! 🌍🌎🌏

Sometimes you need a friend. Jennifer Friend (right) was there to congratulate pal Kelsey Morgan when the latter recently received this year’s UC Irvine Lauds & Laurels Distinguished Alumna award from the School of Social Ecology. Both are leaders of Orange County nonprofits (Friend, Project Hope Alliance; Morgan, EverFree), Orange County Register Most Influential People of 2023, UCI alums who majored in social ecology (Friend, B.A. '95; Morgan, B.A. ’10 & Ph.D. ’24) and fellow Lauds & Laurels recipients (Friend received it in '16).

The Freedom Lifemap app is a fantastic new tool for human trafficking survivors and their advocates. Check out this CNN interview with Kelsey Morgan, PhD, CEO of EverFree for a quick overview!
CEO of EverFree, Kelsey Morgan, PhD, discusses the organization’s project, the Freedom Lifemap app, and its importance in helping survivors get the care they need to transition to life after exploitation. By using this technology, Freedom Lifemap helps survivors through a self-assessment tool that identifies the root of exploitation, programs that may be useful, and overall care for survivors. The data from the app can also help programs measure outcomes and improve the ways they can stop exploitation. #EndHumanTrafficking

According to the company's first transparency report since 2021, X sent 370,588 reports of child exploitation to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in just the first half of 2024—a response required by law. X also suspended 2,781,634 accounts for "engaging with (liking, replying, bookmarking, etc.) Child Sexual Abuse Media. This is just ONE platform amidst the vastness of the online world. While transparency and reporting are crucial in keeping online platforms accountable, companies must continue to strengthen protections to prioritize the safety and well-being of children and proactively prevent online exploitation. #onlinesafety #tech #stopexploitation
