A new Research for Action and McClanahan Associates, Inc.. report, commissioned by The Wallace Foundation, found that OST intermediaries (many in our network including Providence After School Alliance Collective for Youth, Nashville After Zone Alliance (NAZA), The Opportunity Network, Denver Afterschool Alliance and #grandrapids) advocated alongside city, school district, and private funders for program accessibility and increased responsiveness to young people’s evolving needs during the COVID-19 pandemic, including advocating for federal COVID relief funding for #OST practitioners. https://lnkd.in/gxYgzEBa Check it out! 🌟 Discover the Story Behind Our June 26th Webinar Name! 🌟 One of the three main research questions in our Powered by Youth Voice National Youth Survey was an open-ended question asking young people: "If you were in charge of starting a new afterschool program that is meaningful to you, what would it look like?" One response truly stuck with us. A young person said, "You would feel the love when you walked in." This powerful statement inspired the name of our upcoming webinar, Feel the Love When You Walk In: Future Directions for Afterschool. Young people have profound insights and ideas about their afterschool experiences, and we’re excited to share them with you! Join us to hear more about what makes these programs meaningful and how we can improve them together. 📅 Date: June 26th 🕒 Time: 2-3:15 PM ET/1-2:15 PM CT/11-12:15 PT 🔗 Register Today: https://shorturl.at/STOKd Youthprise Tamara Hamai Jenna Sethi, Ph.D. Mott Foundation Arielle Milton, MPA Nashville After Zone Alliance (NAZA)Providence After School Alliance Young Voices RIKalamazoo Youth Development Network Marco Lima Marcus Pope Fahren Johnson Wokie Weah #PoweredbyYouthVoice #Afterschool #YouthLeadership
