About us
You want to raise money for something amazing. Right? You might be starting completely fresh…you’ve fallen in to fundraising some how and now people are depending on you to bring in some money. You’ve seen pub quizzes and golf classics before, although you can’t really remember which charity was running them. But you’re wise enough to know that those aren’t going to do what you need done. Instead, you want to build a reliable and sustainable income for your organisation. So where do you start? Or you might have a bit of experience in fundraising. You’ve attended a few seminars and conferences. Sure, they’re inspirational and innovative and the ideas are great…but when you go back to the office the next day you can’t really think of any changes you can make or what exactly it was you were supposed to do differently. Or are you one of the best? Your fundraising is slick and headhunters keep phoning you and trying to get you to meet that CEO that you know is a nightmare. You’ve only come to this site because you want the latest news, updates and scandals in the world of fundraising. You’re trying to stay passionate and interested because your Board is pissing you off and you’re seriously thinking about going to work for some telecom company. Wherever, and whatever, you are, I imagine you’re like me: something in you loves fundraising. You love the idea that you can connect the donors who want to change the world with the people who are changing it. So let’s get started.

In the UK, 1 in 5 people have a disability. With the use of virtual events set to rise from 2022, it’s important that accessibility is planned from day one to reach more people, give fair access and opportunities, and include all of your audience. In this episode we share: How to plan inclusive virtual events What tools are available to improve accessibility What common problems event hosts face and how to overcome them. The episode is co-presented by a leading disability charity to share their experience of hosting online events. Speakers: Simon Scriver & Jessica Mckay Check it out here 👉 https://lnkd.in/ekbQXuxx

Here are 5 Useful ways to improve your engagement at your virtual event 😍 💻 1. Polls are a great way to help your audience feel more engaged whilst helping you as a host get to know your audience better. It also helps your audience see how they stand in relation to their fellow peers within the industry. Having a Q&A session at the end of your event ensures that your audience leaves with no lingering questions and helps them to further consolidate their knowledge on your virtual event’s topics. 2. With larger events especially, it can be difficult to have an effective discussion between so many attendees at once. A way to encourage these discussions is to have multiple breakout rooms after a topic or presentation for your attendees to reflect, collaborate or have engaging discussions about what has been discussed during a portion of your event. 3. A great way to engage with your audience is to encourage them to use the chat feature within your event. Motivate them to introduce themselves, ask attendees for their input on what is going on, their feedback or thoughts on the event. Encouraging your audience to use this feature as a networking opportunity and a way to connect with others is also a brilliant way to keep them engaged. 4. Keep the conversation going on social media by starting a simple custom hashtag about your event and encouraging your attendees to share their thoughts, details about their experience at the event or even fun selfies of them watching the content! This is a surefire way to keep your event fun and memorable for your attendees. 5. There are many benefits to offering a combination of live and pre-recorded content. With pre-recorded content, the speaker can be available in the chat box to discuss with attendees live and answer their questions. Live content is useful because it can be adapted in real-time with feedback from your audience influencing it. Ensuring all content is available On Demand after your event means that no one has to miss out if an attendee is unable to make it on the day. It also means your audience can reengage and continue learning long after your event has ended. And with our delegate bag feature, you can provide even more value to attendees by including bonus content like additional presentations, workbooks or PDFs for your audience to interact with. Here Are Our Top Tips To Help You Record Your Next Virtual Session Like A Pro. 😎 1. It’s All About The Audio Tech these days is pretty decent, but even the best of laptops, phones, and computers can use a boost when it comes to recording crisp audio. Always use a microphone that plugs directly into your recording device (no wireless earbuds) and remove anything nearby that might rattle, beep, or rustle; especially cabled headphones where the mic can brush against clothes or hair. 2. Don’t Leave Your Speakers In The Dark After years of online meetings and activity, it’s normal to sit at your desk when it’s time to hit record – but is this really the right place? Everywhere+ customer, MuseumNext, always deliver engaging and exciting pre-recorded content for their attendees by having speakers record at venues, special locations, and even outside! And when they are recording inside, their speakers are well-lit, looking at the camera, and not sat at a desk. Placement is important too. Think of the picture frame like a passport photo, people like to be able to see space above, below and to the left & right of your face. 3. Go Easy On The Slides Many of our stand-out sessions have been where speakers have used slides sparingly, or ditched them completely, to focus on the connection with attendees. Slides can be distracting and can even make your session inaccessible if not used correctly. If visuals are necessary, think about the images, colour contrasts, and text size you use – and provide a copy to the event host in advance so they can give them to attendees. 4. Be Mindful About Your Content Your viewers want to feel like you’re there speaking to them so be sure to engage with them in the same way you would if it was live by asking them to say hello in the chat and check in with them at regular points throughout the session. It’s best to not use a script but if you absolutely need to, keep it on the same screen as your camera and try not to look at it all the way through. It can also be jarring to the session flow to repeatedly ask for slides to be changed if you’re not managing these yourself (it’s best if you do) so brief your session handler in advance of the change points and continue your session confidently throughout. 5. Stick To Time Going a minute or two over your session time might not seem like a big deal, but an event with twenty speakers all doing two-minutes extra is now forty-minutes longer! Your session time is a limit, not a goal. So practice a few times before your recording, cut out anything that’s repeated or not needed if you’re going out of time, and aim for at least three minutes under. If you still need help recording and editing your session, we can do that for you in our online recording studio – even if you’re not hosting your event on Everywhere+! We’ll look after you from the minute you arrive backstage until we deliver your fully-edited session. #B2BMarketing #EventMarketing #VirtualEvent #recordingstudio
