Our research and quality assessment testing for our games is incredibly rigorous. We don't discriminate against species. In our upcoming game about synthetic media (deepfakes) mitigation tactics, we recruited Kit Kat (SGI intern Kristen Marcinek's cat and office mascot) to help go through our Alpha build and make sure she was accurately represented. She gave it two paws up. I appreciate that our colleagues at FableVision studios are open to this form of content validation! Special thanks to Nick Carbonara, Kazmuir (Kaz) Long, Kellian Adams Pletcher, and of course Adam Gravett (who designed Office Cat) for taking our testing to the next level!

The residents of K12’s new ELA Village need help! Mary’s pet griffin is on the loose, Mr. Ogilvy needs a rare plant for a potion, and Jamie the Troll can’t find the Stone of the Sun. Playing as Lex the dragon, students can help this quirky bunch solve their problems, building skills critical to reading comprehension as they sleuth. In addition to the reading quests, students can play mini-games to build language skills. And as thanks for their hard work, students earn coins, which they can use to spruce up Lex’s castle. Features of the ELA Village include: 📚 3 reading quests ✏ 8 levels each of the mini-games Grammar Glider, English Escape, and Tower of Tense 💰 ability to earn coins and use them to customize the dragon’s castle 🎁 quippy characters and endless surprises Play K12 Games: ELA Village and other learning games in the K12 curriculum and for free at learninghub.com. #EdTech #GBL #GameBasedLearning #ScienceOfReading #ReadingTeacher #ReadingGame #ELAVillage #K12Games
