We’re excited to offer an opportunity for people in recovery to share their experiences and help create a new resource! In partnership with the Behavioral Health Foundation and the University of Houston, we're developing a toolkit to help people access buprenorphine for Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) at pharmacies. We're looking for 8-12 participants who have taken buprenorphine for OUD since March 2022 to join workgroup meetings. You’ll attend three 2-hour sessions and be compensated for your time. Share your story and help shape this important tool. Apply by Oct 20th! https://lnkd.in/eMgAenzd #Recovery #OpioidAwareness #OUD #Buprenorphine #MakeADifference #PharmacyAccess

Request for Comments on proposed data collection tool “SAMHSA Unified Client-level Performance Reporting Tool (SUPRT)” The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) has released a proposed data collection/outcomes measurement tool. The proposed tool would update existing ‘GPRA’ reporting, improve the consistency of data collected, and streamline existing tools into a new tool that will reduce the burden of questions on clients and grantee reporting. Faces & Voices has several concerns regarding the newly proposed reporting tool, and we have submitted our own comments to address these areas. Additionally, in conjunction with The Center for Addiction and Public Policy at the O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law at Georgetown University Law Center, we have crafted a simple template for our members and fellow advocates to utilize to submit their own comments regarding the proposed reporting tool. The draft's comment period is open until Tuesday, October 15, 2024. We ask that advocates and organizations submit comments providing feedback on this proposed tool. What can you do? ● Use the simple template (download at https://lnkd.in/eNygGwmX) to submit your comments to SAMSHA prior to the end of the day, Tuesday, October 15th – just be sure to remove the highlighted areas before submitting! ● Share with colleagues and encourage their participation in submitting public comments. Additional information ● Review the draft reporting tool: https://lnkd.in/eCq7HXDA ● Comments should be submitted via email to: samhsapra@samhsa.hhs.gov ● Notice of Comment Request: https://lnkd.in/gGhr4s7A TLDR: Submit comments using our quick template before Oct. 15th

We had the opportunity to collaborate with our colleagues Mobilize Recovery during their Bus Tour. Oliver met them in Iowa, while Lindsay participated in their events in the Maryland and DC area. We established connections with organizations nationwide that are making significant contributions, and we greatly appreciated the experience. Thanks Mobilize, for facilitating this important connective work! We also extend our gratitude to all the organizations we connected with throughout this journey.
