🎃 At our spooktacular Halloween-themed Town Hall for October, we celebrated our Heartists and took a closer look at the impactful work happening across departments to make our hotel and community greener🌎 Our Sustainability Committee Takeover highlighted initiatives from every department, showcasing how we are committed to a more sustainable future for our Los Angeles community and beyond. We are also thrilled to recognize our October Heartists of the Month: - Front of House: Ryan Holmes, the warm welcome our guests receive from the moment they arrive. - Heart of House: Maria Huezo, our caring In-Room Dining Order Taker who makes every guest experience exceptional. And of course, our Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest wrapped up with the Fairmont Spa team winning first place for their creative "Salt Room" pumpkin design! 🎃

This week, we had the pleasure of celebrating the graduation of our two exceptional Management Development Program graduates, Kaja Wauer and Richard Reeschke from Germany! Over the past 18 months, they have demonstrated remarkable dedication, skill, and growth, making a significant impact on our team at Fairmont Century Plaza. We are incredibly proud of their accomplishments and cannot wait to see where their journeys will take them next. Congratulations and thank you, Kaja and Richard!

As we wrap up the month of September, we are thrilled to celebrate the graduation of two of our beloved J-1 program participants, Tako and Alex! Tako, hailing from Georgia, and Alex, from Brazil, have been an incredible part of our team, bringing their unique cultures, talents, and perspectives to our Fairmont Century Plaza family. Their dedication and hard work have not only enriched their own journeys but have also left a lasting impact on our entire team. We are so proud of all they've achieved and can’t wait to see the amazing things they’ll accomplish in the future! Join us in congratulating them on their success and wishing them the best in their next adventures!

Last week marked a special milestone in our journey. Three years ago, we opened our doors with a vision to provide unmatched hospitality, comfort, and unforgettable experiences. September Townhall Highlights at Fairmont Century Plaza Our September Townhall was a celebration of many milestones and accomplishments! We kicked off the event by honoring a festive Housekeeping Week and marking the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month with an insightful educational presentation. We also reflected on the upcoming third anniversary of our hotel’s grand opening. Moreover, we enjoyed a special recognition of Alison Kirsten, our amazing Spa Director, for her winning idea to rebrand the New Hire Orientation with "Ignite"! A special shoutout to our J-1 program graduates, Tako Mamucharashvili and Alex de Pina Marchi - congratulations on completing this important journey with us! And, of course, a round of applause to our outstanding award winners: 1. Heartist of the Month - Front of House: Nicholas Lett, our friendly and dependable Security Agent 2. Our Food and Beverage team treated our hardworking housekeepers throughout the last day of Housekeeping Week, starting with fresh chilaquiles, cookies, and coffee in the morning. To keep the energy high, our very own Executive Pastry Chef, Nancy Guerrero, led a fun bachata dance session, getting everyone warmed up for the day ahead! Lunch was a delicious feast of tacos, complete with housemade salsa, guacamole, and all the fixings. We wrapped up the week with excitement as we raffled off several fantastic prizes for our team, bringing smiles all around. What an incredible week it's been celebrating our amazing housekeeping team! A huge thank you to our entire team for your dedication and hard work day in and day out. You are the backbone of our hotel, and we are beyond grateful for everything you do to keep Fairmont Century Plaza running smoothly.

As Day 4 of Housekeeping Week at Fairmont Century Plaza comes to a close, we want to shine a spotlight on our incredible overnight team—the unsung heroes who keep our building pristine while the city sleeps. To show our appreciation, we treated them to a delicious meal of pupusas, and of course, a special performance by our resident star, Sarai Jacko, that had the team cheering with joy! Their hard work and dedication behind the scenes truly make a difference, and we are beyond grateful for all that they do!

Day 4 of Housekeeping Week at Fairmont Century Plaza was filled with festivities, laughter, and music! We celebrated our amazing Housekeeping team today with a lively mariachi performance, bringing joy and energy to all our employees. The highlight of the day was a special performance of a Selena classic by our very own Director of Training and Development, Sarai Jacko, which had everyone on their feet, applauding and singing along! It was a day to remember, filled with appreciation for the heart and soul of our hotel. Thank you to our dedicated Housekeeping team for all you do!

Day 4 of Housekeeping Week at Fairmont Century Plaza was another exciting and fun-filled celebration! Our Engineering and Finance teams joined the festivities, bringing delicious Porto's Bakery pastries to sweeten the day and a karaoke machine to keep the energy high. The warm-up session got everyone moving to bachata and cumbia tunes, setting a lively tone for the day. A big shout-out to our incredible Housekeeping team for their dedication and passion! Your hard work is truly appreciated!
