From September 9-22, Feds Feed Families is focusing on Food Deserts and Food Security! 🥫 Food security means access by all people at all times to enough food for an active, healthy life. Unfortunately, in 2020, more than 30 million Americans, or 1 in 10, experienced food insecurity. 🥫 Achieving food security is challenged by food deserts, areas that lack access to safe and affordable fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and other foods that support a healthy diet. Moreover, these food deserts may contribute to poor diets, obesity, and other diet-related diseases. 🥫 Your donations through the Feds Feeding Families campaign helps increase access to nutritious, safe, and affordable food to those facing food insecurity and living in food deserts. Your efforts have a big impact! 📍 Details to get involved: https://lnkd.in/ejcRrwwH USDA | Federal Executive Boards: Central Region | Federal Executive Boards: Eastern Region | Federal Executive Boards: Southern Region | Federal Executive Boards: Western Region
