We recently hosted another virtual Fostering Friday conversation, focused on understanding the scope and mission of other agencies. These discussions help us identify key issues and build awareness for more effective collaboration. Our goal is to “break down silos” that prevent agencies from working together and to leave these conversations with updated insights into how we can best support our partner agencies. During this Fostering Friday, Eastern Region Center staff were joined by Newark FEB Chair and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Federal Security Director for the state of New Jersey, Thomas Carter, who led an insightful conversation on the critical role of the TSA and the complexities of their mission. Special thanks to Mr. Carter for his comprehensive presentation👏 It was especially interesting to hear about the advancements TSA has introduced, such as TSA PreCheck, aimed at improving the airport security experience while ensuring freedom of movement for the public. We are looking forward to continuing our partnership with the TSA and applying our enhanced understanding of their mission and objectives to help them achieve their goals. Find out more about the TSA here: https://www.tsa.gov/about Previous Fostering Fridays have featured conversations with U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and Urban Development; U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Services (HHS) Region 2 - New York; HHS's FDA - Office of Regulatory Affairs; and U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Federal Protective Service Region 3 - Mid-Atlantic Southern District #USHS #TSA #FEB #FederalService #NYCFEB #NWKFEB
