We are delighted to welcome Citizens of Soil | B Corp to our portfolio as our second investment! It has been a pleasure to get to know the brilliant founders Sarah Fulton Vachon and Michael Vachon and we are excited to be a part of their mission to create lasting change in the olive oil industry. Citizens of Soil brings premium extra virgin olive oil from small-batch, family-farms direct to consumers. They are turning a commodity into a community, by paying their producers above market prices and facilitating regenerative farming techniques to preserve biodiversity and soil quality. Not only does this empower farmers, but it also elevates the oil, offering consumers the chance to buy the amazing tasting, single-blend oils you would expect to find in a gorgeous little restaurant in Italy or Spain (so different to the mass-produced blends in most of the UK's kitchens). We're pleased to have co-led this £1.8m investment round alongside a private family office and a group of strategic investors (it's wonderful to be on this journey with you, Hannah Bruce). Exciting times ahead!

About us
It’s no secret that elements of the consumer sector are causing environmental and social issues globally. FIGR’s mission was born out of the co-founders’ mutual passion for consumer products – from fashion and beauty to food and beverages – and concern for the increasing harm being caused by the consumption of those products. By investing in early-stage, mission-driven startups with the potential to positively influence consumer behaviour, we believe we can help them to change the world.

When we started FIGR, we knew one space where we wanted to empower innovative businesses to drive change was fashion. We're incredibly excited to announce that we recently made our first investment into TRUSS, a UK-based tech startup powering fashion resale with AI-enabled data infrastructure. Founded by Woody Lello, Felix Jackson, Jack Cardwell and Connor Mattinson in 2022, we believe TRUSS has the potential to pave the way for secondhand shopping to become the norm.
