Thank you State Senator Machaela Cavanaugh for introducing and prioritizing #LB13 which adjusts the reimbursement for services provided by the Child Care Subsidy program to pay providers based on enrollment rather than attendance. Paying providers based on enrollment creates predictable and stable funding streams necessary for them to maintain their business operations. FFN testified in support of LB13 at its January hearing. FFN submitted a letter in support of#LB157 at its hearing before the #NEleg Revenue Committee yesterday. State Senator Danielle Conrad's bill provides a $1,000 refundable credit per child who is age 6 or younger at the end of the taxable year for taxpayers claiming them as a dependent. The bill lowers the amount which can be claimed, depending on income. Read FFN's letter of support: https://lnkd.in/dsSwPTZp

The #NELeg HHS Committee held a hearing for #LB283 on March 14. The legislation calls for the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services to submit state plan amendments for Medicaid and CHIP recipients to implement express lane eligibility. With express lane eligibility, data from one assistance program is utilized to determine eligibility for another program. In LB283, information from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) could be used to determine eligibility for Medicaid or CHIP. #Nebraska State Senator Ashlei Spivey-Arthur Read FFN's letter of support for LB283: https://lnkd.in/dbiMmQmP
