Amsterdam Schiphol Airport received the first A321neo aircraft (Airbus A321-252NX/ PH-AXA/ MSN: 11895) of Dutch national carrier KLM, member of the Air France-KLM Group, that's revamping its narrow body fleet from the Boeing B737s. The narrow-body fleet of KLM is composed of 42 Boeing 737 Next Generation aircraft which is being replaced by the Airbus A320neo family aircraft, and transition began Today with the First A321neo. For Air France-KLM group, following the delivery of a first Airbus A321neo to Transavia Netherlands on December 19, 2023, Air France-KLM continues the introduction of the A320neo aircraft family into its fleet. The newly delivered A321neo for KLM seats 227 passengers in a two-class layout. The cabin features Airbus’ Airspace cabin with XL bins. The A321neo is the largest member of Airbus’ best-selling A320neo Family, equipped with sharklets and powered by new generation CFM International LEAP-1A engines. An Air Algeria Boeing 737-8D6 aircraft (7T-VJO) suffered a technical snag inflight that forced an air turn back to Constantine (CZL) on 25 August. After taking off from the Mohamed Boudiaf airport, towards Saint-Exupéry airport (LYS), Lyon, while operating flight AH 1460, the aircraft faced pressurization issues at around FL330. The deployment of the oxygen masks mostly implies a depressurization of the cabin, but no such impact (adverse) was noticed on the passengers in this case, who remained calm throughout. To ensure the safety of the company's passengers, the cockpit crew of the flight in question decided to return back to Constantine. Monday morning saw the last departure of Avelo Airlines from Redding Regional Airport to Burbank with 120 passengers on board. Shasta County supervisors now plan to send letters to departing Avelo Airlines and the City of Redding to try and recruit and retain air carriers at Redding Regional Airport in Shasta County, California, United States. Garuda Indonesia Boeing 737-8U3 aircraft (PK-GFW/ Built 2013) experienced fuel leak (overflow) from its Right wing while in the process of departure just before take-off at Jakarta-Soekarno-Hatta International Airport on 24 August. Indonesian Musician Kunto Aji shared a video of the fuel leaking from the aircraft that was operating flight GA-174 from Jakarta (CGK) to Pekanbaru (PKU) on that day. President & Chief Executive Officer at PT Garuda Indonesia Tbk Irfan Setiaputra, said that the plane that experienced the avtur overflow was flight GA-174 on the Jakarta-Pekanbaru route. "We can convey that the findings were discovered by the Pilot in Command (PIC) when he was carrying out a routine procedure to verify the amount of avtur in the aircraft as part of the final readiness of the aircraft crew before carrying out the take-off process," he explained.
