TRANSITION FLIGHT | Midnight has completed transition flight at a speed of 100+ MPH – taking off vertically, accelerating until it transitions from thrust-borne to wing-borne flight, cruising on the wing and then landing again vertically. We’re designing and building Midnight’s lithium-ion battery packs in-house as these are one of the key enabling technologies for the electrification of aviation. We are focused on achieving a future where no conventional fuel is needed and our aircraft produce zero local emissions.

Our flight controls software is ready for system integration testing, bringing us one step closer to Midnight’s first piloted flight. Archer’s engineers test our software across a wide range of conditions and locations—simulating the kinds of situations that pilots may encounter in the field.

Midnight made headlines this morning on CBS, showcasing how it’s set to revolutionize urban travel by replacing long hours in traffic with quick 10-20 minute flights.

Archer now has one of the strongest liquidity positions in the industry. Today we announced the closing of the private investment in public equity (PIPE) we unveiled as part of our Q2’24 earnings. It includes participation by longtime strategic investors United Airlines & Stellantis, & is a key piece of the $230M we raised since the end of Q2’24. This past month, we delivered the first Midnight aircraft to the United States Air Force. The USAF often serves in places that don’t have roads, rails or even runways—making Midnight a strong potential asset for their deployment. This delivery comes after the United States Department of Defense's acceptance of Midnight’s military airworthiness assessment, a critical approval that confirms Midnight’s readiness for flight testing by AFWERX.
