Transforming the way goods move
About us
Zipline was founded to create the first logistics system that serves all humans equally. Our aim is to solve the world’s most urgent and complex access challenges. Leveraging expertise in robotics and autonomy, Zipline designs, manufactures and operates the world’s largest automated delivery system. Zipline serves tens of millions of people around the world and is making good on the promise of building an equitable and more resilient global supply chain. From powering Rwanda’s national blood delivery network and Ghana’s COVID-19 vaccine distribution, to providing on-demand home delivery for Walmart and enabling leading healthcare providers to bring care into the home in the United States, Zipline is transforming the way goods move. By transitioning to clean, electric, instant logistics, we can decarbonize delivery, decrease road congestion, and reduce fossil fuel consumption and air pollution, while providing equitable access for billions of people. The technology is complex but the idea is simple: a teleportation service that delivers what you need, when you need it. Zipline is inspiring people, governments, and businesses to imagine what is possible when goods can move as seamlessly as information. A unique innovation is transforming access to vaccines in Ghana. With Zipline drones delivering life-saving vaccines to the most remote communities, rough roads and long travel times no longer stand in the way of essential immunisations. This exciting initiative has boosted immunisation rates by up to 50%. To keep these innovations going, we’re calling on world governments to support Gavi’s $9 billion replenishment to protect 500 million children between 2026 - 2030—preventing more than 8 million deaths and building global health security for the future. #ForOurFuture #VaccinesWork

This week at UNGA79, our CEO Keller Rinaudo Cliffton will join FMOH Nigeria and Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance at Devex to discuss "New Models for Sustainable Development." Our partnerships with Nigerian state governments are transforming health access and equity through drone delivery, helping bridge infrastructure gaps that have served as barriers to economic growth and development. Since 2022, Zipline has delivered millions of life-saving vaccines and essential medicines to communities across Nigeria. Join us on Thursday, Sep. 26, at 5:30 ET to learn how we’re scaling this model to tackle maternal mortality, malnutrition, malaria, and other critical health challenges. We've worked closely with Pfizer since our earliest days, turning what seemed like an impossible idea into a life-saving logistics system. Since 2016, together we’ve delivered over 18 million vaccines across Africa, advancing healthcare accessibility globally. 🌍 Pfizer CEO Dr. Albert Bourla and his team visited our Zipline Nest in Rwanda to celebrate our partnership and explore new opportunities to make healthcare delivery worldwide more equitable. #Innovation #GlobalHealth #DroneDelivery

Donovan Bass, Zipline’s Head of Product for our Customer Platform, believes sustainability is one of the biggest challenges on the planet—and transportation plays a huge role. He also believes that by replacing traditional automobile deliveries with zero-emission drone deliveries, Zipline has the power to make a huge impact. It’s why he’s so committed to helping our partners set up drone delivery for their businesses easily and efficiently. To see how Zipline's drone delivery system integrates into businesses of all kinds, join Donovan and other Zipline leaders on Sept 19 for an end-to-end demo and Q&A. https://bit.ly/3ZnZCRc

Kevin's early career included getting a degree in Criminology, a stint in education, and volunteering for organizations like the Red Cross – on the surface, not necessarily the clearest path to leading manufacturing operations at a robotics company. To Kevin, the throughline was wanting to be a part of something that saves lives. With one million deliveries of life-saving blood, medicine, and more over the past eight years of operations, he's in the right place. Kevin has been at Zipline for more than six years, and is no stranger to the bumps, failures, and thrills of trying to build technology that's never been built before. Hear Kevin give us the real deal when it comes to working at a global autonomy startup. And come watch him at our virtual event next week on September 19. https://bit.ly/3ZnZCRc

Lauren Lacey leads our mechanical integration engineering team. From early hardware builds, to engineering validation builds, to production, her team is responsible for making sure the entire system works as designed. As a leader at Zipline, Lauren brings deep engineering experience, but it’s also her personal experience that we find so inspiring. Growing up in a small farm town in Missouri, Lauren experienced firsthand the toll it can take when your family can’t get access to the medicine they need. Hear from Lauren in her own words, and join us next week to see what she and her team have been building. https://bit.ly/3ZnZCRc

We’re thrilled that our groundbreaking partnership with Zipline is the feature of today’s episode of the BBC World Service's ‘People fixing the world’ podcast, which examines brilliant solutions to the world's problems. Tune in to hear how Elton John AIDS Foundation is transforming access to life-saving medical supplies for youth in Kenya. Together, we are using drones to deliver critical contraceptives, PrEP, HIV and STI tests and HIV medication to communities in Kenya, with a focus on young people – the demographic who account for 42% of new HIV cases in the country. We’re delivering these services in locations convenient to them, such as sports grounds, community centers and night clubs. “Equal access to proper medication is vital in ending the HIV/AIDS epidemic. Through this historic partnership, we can better provide necessary medications when and where they are needed, outside of conventional health settings and in the areas young people frequent most.” - Anne Aslett, Chief Executive Officer of the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
