My name is Dane Schmitt, I am the front office specialist here at the Food Bank of Lincoln. I wear a lot of different hats, but mainly I help greet folks at the Food Bank of Lincoln. I’m usually one of the first faces neighbors, volunteers, donors, and agency partners see when they come to 1221 Kingbird Road. 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐣𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐤? The Nebraska Coaches Association conference wasn't just about competition! The NCA men’s basketball, women's basketball, volleyball and softball teams took time to give back to the community by volunteering at the Food Bank of Lincoln. These all-stars joined us in packing bags of fresh greens and USDA boxes for distribution throughout Southeast Nebraska. The NCAs did a great job and we had so much fun hosting them! If you are interested in volunteering, check out the link for more information on volunteer opportunities! https://lnkd.in/gNG55K_U
