✅ 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁? 💡 As Synergy Days approaches, it is time to do a retrospective on what has been done within the food-scalEUp project. To do so, we will present each part of the project and its outcomes, starting with 𝘈𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘺𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘳𝘦𝘨𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘢𝘤𝘤𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘴𝘺𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘮𝘴! 🚀 𝗚𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗣𝗲𝗲𝗿-𝘁𝗼-𝗣𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 In our Food-scalEUp project, we are committed to developing more tailored and effective acceleration services. Our focus has been on better access to finance, talent, and valuable partnerships. Through a series of peer-to-peer sessions, we’ve created a dynamic environment for cross-sector collaboration and knowledge exchange among key stakeholders. Here’s a glimpse of what we’ve achieved: 1️⃣ Engagement of Diverse Peer Groups: The sessions brought together four peer groups: Promotors (funding bodies), Managers (acceleration program leads), Accelerator Service Users (startups/scale-ups), and Industry Partners. These groups together have the potential to move and shape the future of acceleration services. 2️⃣ Kick-Off Workshops: To build trust and an open environment, we initiated the project with a series of online workshops, gathering representatives from various regions across Europe. These workshops fostered initial discussions and provided a platform for each participant to share their experiences, current challenges, and intentions. This exchange was crucial in laying the foundation for a more connected and informed acceleration ecosystem. 3️⃣ Cross-Sector Knowledge Exchange: Through breakout sessions and world café-style discussions, participants from different sectors collaborated on designing ideal funding concepts, acceleration support strategies, and more. This hands-on approach allowed for the co-creation of innovative solutions tailored to the specific needs of startups and scale-ups. 4️⃣ Continuous Conversations, Learning and Development: We facilitated continuous knowledge sharing between regions and stakeholders. These sessions have led to valuable insights on operational perspectives, effectiveness of funding and KPIs, and the necessity for personalized services that better align with the needs of businesses at various stages of maturity. 🔎 Looking Ahead: The outcomes from these peer-to-peer sessions helped to shape the next steps of our project, including the implementation of new and improved services at the regional level. We are excited about the progress we've made so far and look forward to further collaborations that will drive innovation in the food tech sector across Europe. #EUInnovationEcosystems #HorizonEU #SMEs #innovation #startup #SS4AF #agrifood #FoodTech #AccelerationServices #Collaboration #PeerToPeer #EuropeanProject #Startups #Scaleups #KnowledgeExchange

🔎 The objectives of this first part of the project was to identify key actors, programs and services and to identify the needs of end-users of acceleration services to determine strengths and weaknesses. 1️⃣ The first thing partners had to do was to understand how the acceleration ecosystem works, and who is part of it. Thus, the food-scalEUp partners mapped around 700 key actors of the acceleration ecosystem, giving a first idea of the regional and European environment. 2️⃣ The second step of this first part was to interview acceleration services end users, to determine what improvements could be made to propose new or more innovative services. More than 60 interviews were conducted, and the conclusions highlighted the several axes of improvement that could be brought to acceleration services. 3️⃣ Finally, the last step was to cross-analyze the data gathered during the previous steps, to determine what needs to be addressed during the project and with which intensity. The main problematics highlighted during this analysis were related to the ecosystem approach – building awareness, having a more connected ecosystem – and also having more personalized services. It has also been observed that most of the programs are aimed at startups, being possibly necessary to increase the offer of services in more advanced stages of maturity. 🚀 In the end, all these conclusions led to building and offering new acceleration services to startups, and have contributed significantly to the following steps of the project, 𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘣𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘢𝘤𝘤𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴 and 𝘊𝘰-𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘪𝘭𝘰𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘥 𝘣𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘢𝘤𝘤𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘤𝘦𝘴. 📢 Stay tuned to learn more about the outcomes of the other parts of the project! 🖥 Two inspiring webinars about 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝗱-𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗮𝗯𝘀 🏭 In Brabant (The Netherlands) we have known it for some time: innovation only works when you work together. Living Labs play an important role in this; spaces or places where testing and experimenting innovations in practice are central. A Living Lab stimulates open innovation through co-creation between companies, knowledge institutions, governments and other stakeholders. This allows new ideas to be easily tested and applied in collaboration with end users. 🔎 But how does such a Living Lab work? What can we learn from existing Living Labs? And what are the challenges and opportunities of specific Food-Tech Living Labs? This and more we discuss in a two-part webinar series from Food-scalEUp 'Development of Food-Tech Living Labs', organized by Next Tech Food Factories. 👨💼 The webinars are intended for professionals who want to work with Food-Tech Living Labs. In the first session, experts from ENoLL (European Network of Living Labs) introduce the Living Labs concept and the methodology. This will be followed by an interactive discussion with these experts, the chairman of the SS4AF network Simon Maas and the coordinator of the Food-scalEUp program. 📧 Be inspired! And register by sending an email to Martin van Rooij at m.vanrooij@agrifoodcapital.nl. The webinars wil be held in English. Session 1: Development of Food-Tech Living Labs Introduction to the concept and methodology by ENoLL (European Network of Living Labs) 🗓 May 30 🕝 2:30 - 3:30 PM Session 2: Development of Food-Tech Living Labs Information about the speaker(s) will follow soon 🗓 June 27 🕝 2:30 - 3:30 PM #livinglabs #foodtech #NTFF
