We’re proud to announce that Ford Philanthropy, in partnership with United Way of West Tennessee, broke ground on the new Ford Community Center in Stanton, TN. This Center is a result of more than 2,500 hours of conversations with residents and community partners, focused on providing opportunities for economic mobility, food security, and entrepreneurship for local residents. Together, we’re building a brighter future.

Ford has always been committed to supporting our communities through good times and bad. As our longtime disaster relief partner Team Rubicon begins the difficult work of helping communities recover from Hurricane Helene, Ford Philanthropy is providing added funding, and encouraging support from our employees, dealers and friends by matching up to $100,000 in contributions to Team Rubicon. We are also providing Team Rubicon with loaned vehicles and together we are training more employees to serve alongside Greyshirt volunteers. We will offer a similar match on contributions to American Red Cross and Feeding America, two of our other longstanding partners. Donate Today - Double Your Impact: https://lnkd.in/e696vw3t

In 1949, Henry Ford II established the Ford Motor Company Fund (now Ford Philanthropy), kicking off our journey of giving back. Two of the very first organizations we partnered with were the United Foundation (which later became the United Way) and the American Red Cross, who are still making a difference in our communities today. After World War II, Henry Ford II saw the need for sustained support for charitable organizations in education, healthcare, and community development, leading to our longstanding relationship with the American Red Cross. Over the years, we've collaborated on initiatives ranging from creating Model T-based ambulances in World War I to providing resources to the American Red Cross Motor Corp.—a segment of women volunteers responsible for transporting wounded or sick soldiers, and delivering blood, food and supplies to airstrips for overseas transport. Our partnership with the United Way began when Ford helped organize the nonprofit’s first Detroit fundraising campaign in 1949 and continues today in expanding access to essential services. #FlashbackFriday #FordPhilanthropy #75YearsofFordImpact #WeAreFord

Ana-Maria Boboc, a Cybersecurity GRC Supervisor in Ford Romania, volunteers with OvidiuRO, a nonprofit that focuses on quality early childhood education for all. “This is my second year participating, and I see it as the perfect opportunity to make a tangible difference through a Ford-backed initiative,” says Ana-Maria. Meanwhile, Sophia Chong, an Environmental & Safety Compliance Manager in Ford Australia, spent her time supporting FareShare to help turn surplus food into nutritious meals. "It’s been rewarding to work with an organization so committed to supporting food access for the community while reducing waste." This September marks a significant milestone – 75 years of Ford Philanthropy! Established by Henry Ford II in 1949, our mission has always centered on helping build a better world. Today, we continue that legacy by partnering with nonprofits to expand access to essential services, education and entrepreneurship. Wherever we can, we use the power of mobility to find new ways to connect people with the resources and services they need most. Since our founding, Ford and Ford Philanthropy have contributed more than $2.3 billion to uplift and strengthen communities. "Giving back has been an integral part of Ford’s history and values since the very beginning,” says Mary Culler, President, Ford Philanthropy. “As we celebrate 75 years of impact, we remain deeply committed to leveraging Ford’s unique capabilities and expertise to help drive positive change in communities around the world where Ford has roots.” A huge thank you to our partners and the thousands of Ford employees who volunteer each year, dedicating their time to help move people and communities forward. Here’s to many more years of making a difference together!
