It's the last week of our Back to School Drive, and our friends at Amazon made a donation of 56 backpacks filled with school supplies! A big shoutout to our amazing TFA volunteer, Wendy, and her husband Jay for organizing this drive for children in foster care! Thank you, Amazon! #FosterAllies

Our team had the privilege of making birthdays special at The Foster Alliance - Arizona Helping Hands "Birthday Dream Bag" initiative. This event benefited more than 12,000 children currently in the foster care system. Many children in foster care do not receive birthday gifts and we learned that some of these children had not received gifts in as many as eight years. Yesterday, this little boy- 6 days old- visited the TFA Phoenix Resource Center to get a new crib, bedding, and a handmade blanket made by a local Arizona sewing club. We are so grateful to be one of the 32 nonprofits that received funding from the City of Avondale, AZ Contributions Assistance program! We had the pleasure of gathering at Avondale City Hall for this special check presentation, where The Foster Alliance was awarded $2,500. That is enough to make sure 178 children in foster care have new socks and underwear to wear to school this year! Thank you Avondale #FosterAllies!

School's in session! 📚🎒 Over the last month, our Tempe team collected over 800 backpacks for our local, nonprofit partners. Each team selected a cause of their choice to receive the donations. Sundt's transportation team donated to The Foster Alliance - Arizona Helping Hands; the industrial team gave to BACKPACKS 4 KIDS AZ INC; our building team supported Southwest Human Development; Sundt's concrete division donated to Arizona PBS; and our support groups gave to Televerde. #sundtservice

Sundt is the true definition of a partner. They consistently show up for children in foster care when they need them most, and this is no exception! What an amazing Monday morning! Today I had the privilege of providing shoes for 1,250 foster children! That’s right! Well, Kind of. This afternoon alongside of other members of our SUNDT FOUNDATION, I presented The Foster Alliance - Arizona Helping Hands with a $25,000.00 Grant Check that will be used to purchase shoes for children in foster care. Can you imagine the feeling of being a child losing your family, your home, your personal belongings, and maybe even your pets because of situations outside of your control and not knowing if you will ever have a family again. Can you imagine feeling unwanted and scared and still not even having the ability to pick out your own toys, bedding, clothes, shoes or even ever having a bicycle that you can call your own? This is the sole reason behind The Foster Alliances’ existence. The Foster Alliance is the largest provider of essential needs for children in foster care in Arizona and beyond. Sundt Construction and our employees have been giving back and being a small part of the amazing things that they do for our children for many years.
