Defeating cancer is our calling.
About us
At Fox Chase Cancer Center, defeating cancer is our calling. Fox Chase is one of the nation’s first dedicated cancer hospitals, and our researchers and physicians have made major contributions to scientific advancement since our establishment more than a century ago in 1904. Fox Chase scientists have made breakthroughs in cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship, and have earned the highest awards in their fields, including two Nobel Prizes. We translate these pioneering discoveries into world-class clinical care every day - with a single purpose: to defeat cancer and help the people it impacts. This calling is rooted in our cancer-specific, multidisciplinary teams of doctors, researchers, practitioners, and five-time Magnet designated nurses, who are all more than specialists in cancer; they are international experts in distinct types of cancer, whose deep and focused expertise provides the best chance for the best outcome anywhere along the cancer continuum. And they’re helping to advance the way cancer treatment is delivered around the world. The way we work together, with this single, shared passion for our patients’ well-being, is what makes us truly unique. On October 28, Fox Chase Cancer Center unveiled a new Mobile Screening Unit (MSU) with expanded capabilities for cancer screenings and outreach, made possible through the generous support of West Pharmaceutical Services. Bigger than a SEPTA bus, the MSU will increase access to early screening, research, and care for underserved communities across the region. With 3-D mammography, phlebotomy, and mobile vaccine distribution, the MSU aims to bring lifesaving services to those who need them most: https://bit.ly/3NOyKmx

As Breast Cancer Awareness Month draws to a close, now is a great reminder to stay informed and proactive about breast health. Breast cancer affects 1 in 8 women in the U.S., and early detection can make all the difference. Knowing the signs—like lumps, swelling, or changes in breast appearance—is essential, but regular mammograms remain crucial for early detection before symptoms appear. At Fox Chase Cancer Center, we're here with resources like our comprehensive Risk Assessment Program to help you understand and manage your breast cancer risk. Let’s keep awareness strong all year.
