To round off the Future of Cancer Care Summit, we've been fortunate enough to hear from a variety of speakers across the cancer care continuum. 💊 First up, Anthony Magliocco MD of Protean BioDiagnostics shared key insights and data as to new innovation for cancer therapeutics and screening and the opportunities for cancer patients with the development of new novel therapies. 🏥 Next, we heard from Liudmila Schafer, MD, FACP of Doctor Connect who discussed the world of palliative care, what this process actually entails and how to best support the patient through these turbulent times alongside complementary lifestyle processes that can aid in patient care aswell as their support group and care givers. ⭐ With Liudmila Schafer, MD, FACP staying on stage and joined by Edmondo Robinson of Moffitt Cancer Center, John Russell, MPA (formerly of Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center) with Corinne Leach, PhD at the helm, the panel discussed the 'what's needed and what's new' for cancer care, management and survivorship. A crucial discussion designed to pave the way for improved care pathways and outcomes.

What a morning to kick off day two of the Future of Cancer Care Summit! To start, we heard a passionate account from Tracey Willingham of Cancer Care Services who shared her organisationals efforts in implementing new educational strategies for patients and their care givers. Next up, Sally Werner and Debbie Weir of the Cancer Support Community who spoke about implementing mental healthcare services into primary cancer care and the outcomes this can have for both cancer patients and their support groups. To round out our first batch of morning sessions, Dr. Meg Moore of The Livestrong Foundation, Nigel Brockton of the American Institute for Cancer Research, Laura Makaroff of the American Cancer Society, led by Melissa Habedank Bender, discussed key opportunities and outcomes for lifestyle changes, such as diet, exercise and social factors, in a patients and survivors treatment and continued support.

To round off day one of the Future of Cancer Care Summit, leaders in the field tackled one of the greatest challenges facing the cancer care industry, financial toxicity. A fantastic discussion, moderated by Tracey Willingham of Cancer Care Services, saw Sarah Sheehan, MPA of Digital Medicine Society (DiMe), Corinne Leach, PhD of Moffitt Cancer Center and Grace Cordovano, PhD, BCPA deep dive into the key drivers of financial toxicity, the impact on patient outcomes and current and future solutions available for cancer patients and their support groups. A big shout out to Joshua Rivera, MBA of Moffitt Cancer Center for sharing his own story in dealing with financial toxicity. An extremely passionate moment. To close us out, Sarah Sheehan, MPA and Corinne Leach, PhD stayed on to launch valuable resources produced by CancerX Moonshot to aid in utilizing digital innovation to promote health equity and alleviate financial toxicity in cancer care. To kick us off after lunch, we welcomed to the stage a number of cancer care specialists who's passion for this advancing this industry was motivational and inspiring. First off, we are excited to host the CancerX Moonshot team at the conference where they announced their new accelerator program designed to accrue talent and innovation from across the industry in order to bring digital innovation to cancer care and management. In the words of Kamal Jethwani of Moffitt Cancer Center, joined by Stephen Konya and Jennifer Goldsack, this will be the 'best accelerator out there!' Sally Werner of Cancer Support Community led the discussion alongside Barbara Hardy of Stanford Health Care, Sanders Kimberly of the Cleveland Clinic, Esther Kim, ScD, RD, LDN of AstraZeneca, David Shalowitz of West Michigan Cancer Center and Angelique Caba, LCSW-R of CancerCare which tackled key challenges and hopeful opportunities for improving health equity for cancer care and management.

Three thought-provoking and motivating presentations delivered by three leaders and pioneers of the #cancercare and management field. 🎗 First up, Lisa Lurie of Cancer Be Glammed took to the stage to provide a personal and profound account of the current cancer care landscape through the eyes of a survivor proving as a reminder that patients need to be placed at the very center of this industry. 🏥 We then heard from Shelly Glenn of the American Oncology Network who tackled the key issues around the diminishing physician workforce within oncology, it's impact on patients and clinicians and, with a solution-focused outlook, discussed efforts in counteracting this through technology and innovation. 👨⚕️ 👩⚕️ To round us off before lunch, we were fortunate to have Rachel Spillers Cannady of the American Cancer Society discuss the role of the the care giver and the impact they can have on patient outcomes while also ensuring they themselves are supported and resourced.
