What are we doing to keep our lands safeguarded? Here are the company's current trespass abatement initiatives: -We continue to install no trespassing signs about every two miles on the Yukon River and Koyukuk River between Galena and Kaltag, emphasizing that only shareholders are permitted entry. -We are collaborating closely with U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services, Galena Office, and Tanana Chiefs Conference Village Public Safety Office (VPSO) program to enforce these regulations, especially for non-resident hunters. -Commercial guiding activities have been prohibited on Gana-A'Yoo lands, and non-shareholders are not permitted to hunt on Gana-A'Yoo lands. -Timber harvest permits are required and available for shareholders. Contact us for more information. If you have questions or concerns about trespassing, please contact us at lands@ganaayoo.com or 907-569-9599.

About us
Gana-A’Yoo, Limited (Gana-A’Yoo) is an Alaska Native Village Corporation (ANC) established in 1978 as a result of the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act. Headquartered in Anchorage, Gana-A’Yoo is owned by 2,000 Koyukon Athabascan shareholders and their descendants who represent four villages located along the Yukon River within Alaska’s Interior: Galena, Koyukuk, Nulato, and Kaltag. Our purpose is two-fold: to prosper as a sustainable economic engine, and to create opportunities for our shareholders from that success. To meet these objectives, Gana-A’Yoo has gradually assembled a professional family of companies that operate within several diverse lines of business. Guided by our Values, we have become as proud of our reputation for safe, successful contract performance as we are of our heritage. THE MEANING OF GANA-A’YOO In the Athabaskan language, Gana-A’Yoo means “friends/friends together.” As a historically nomadic people who relied on each other for survival, the concept of sharing is a vital one. This was the underlying sentiment more than 40 years ago when our four villages joined together as “friends” and merged their resources into one corporation. Today, we proudly symbolize this partnership in our logo’s firm arm grip and in the value we place on building strong, lasting relationships with our clients, employees, and industry partners.

Last week, the Gana-A'Yoo Board of Directors and executive management team traveled to Dayton, OH, to visit our SABER contract site at the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Visits like these to different contract sites provide the board with an opportunity to connect with our dedicated operating teams across the nation. They also allow our teams to hear firsthand from the board about the importance and impact of our work, which includes providing dividends, job opportunities, and scholarships to Gana-A’Yoo’s shareholders and descendants. A big thank you to Gana-A’Yoo Construction Services Contract Manager Jeff Sebor for giving the board an insightful tour of the base. During their visit, the board also held their 2024 annual strategic planning session and retreat, continuing to shape and refine our vision for the future of the Gana-A’Yoo Family of Companies.
