The Spring 2024 National Gastroenterology Conference took place two weeks ago in Jacksonville, Florida. In attendance were over 100 Gastroenterologists, Advanced Practice Providers, Administrators, and Industry Partners. Several thought leaders from across the country engaged in many thought-provoking discussions, exchanged ideas, and shared the latest in clinical practices and administration. The conference agenda and content encompassed a range of topics, from leadership and corporate culture, to clinical guides, the introduction of the IBD and MASLD (fatty liver) pathway, DHPA, Crohn's Disease, Obesity and GI care, Hepatic Health, and more. What did you enjoy the most about our event? The Specialty Networks National #Gastroenterology Conference was in full swing yesterday! We began with a welcome session by Specialty Networks CEO, SHAILENDRA SHARMA, followed by our keynote: 'Specialty Networks & DHPA: Chartering a Path for Independent Medicine, led by Howard Rubin when he presented the impressive advocacy efforts underway to promote the interests and importance of independent medical practices. The day continued with additional clinical sessions including 'Beyond the Symptoms: Clinical Guides & Data in #IBD’ where we launched our IBD Pathway — led by Drs. Paul Berggreen, Joseph Cappa, Casey Chapman, Shail Govani, Bruce Hennessy, Rajeev Jain, Tara Menon, Timothy Ritter and John Wysocki! Dr. Naresh Gunaratnam presented on 'Obesity in GI Care: Embracing & Putting It into Practice’. We ended the evening with a festive Welcome Reception sponsored by Pfizer before heading for dinner throughout Downtown Jacksonville. Today, we look forward to hearing from Sanofi and Regeneron, the launch of the MASLD (Fatty Liver) Pathway — led by Drs. George Nikias, Michael Einstein, Anthony Michaels, Elizabeth Richardson and Marianna Scranton — during ‘Exploring Hepatic Health’, ‘Practice Management: A Journey Through Prior Authorization & Chronic Care Management Implementation and wrapping up with Specialty Networks Business Updates on key clinical and business strategies that are critical for the success of independent physician practices.
