It is great to hear from our TopoDOT users about the impact that they are having on their communities… Kudos to GdB Geospatial - A SAM Company and their commitment to making a difference.
One of the amazing things we were able to do at this year's TopoDOT Users Conference was to collect some input directly from our users. Now we have the opportunity to feature these responses. And starting things off is Leah Miramontes from our friends at GdB Geospatial - A SAM Company! Leah wrote: "TopoDOT has been amazing in helping our team extract NYC bridge and tunnel work to help the City rehab their facilities and maintain our infrastructure. It's been such an efficient tool that's helped us support our clients and our community! Thank you!" Thank you for the kind words, Leah, we're honored to be a part of your project in the city that never sleeps. Hope to see you next year for #TUC25! #NYC #surveying #LiDAR #engineering

Last night, SAM was honored to accept a 2024 National Recognition American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Engineering Excellence Award in Washington, D.C. Our program, the Texas Department of Transportation 2020 Bridge Clearance Program Schedule addressed the safety of 4,448 bridges across Texas over three years. SAM leveraged Mobile LiDAR technology, mapping bridge clearances, feature extraction, and GIS asset inventory to streamline the inspection process of each bridge. We employed customized, innovative solutions including asset-driven routing for mobile mapping crews, real-time program tracking via a secure online dashboard, and customized software tools for efficient extraction of over 150,000 unique features. Thank you to the Texas Department of Transportation for the partnership in this endeavor and to our team members for all of their hard work. Congratulations to all of our fellow winners! why i love being a surveyor: being able to walk down the street and say " we surveyed that!" and then queue the eye rolls from my 6yo daughter. Proud of the team at GdB Geospatial - A SAM Company who are surveying these stations. Lots of sweat, sighs and some tears, looking at you Mike Koprowski and Lauren Sorbera but you are part of making this world a better place and making an impact https://lnkd.in/eKq73qw6
