The Crest at Southpoint is the latest development in McDonough, GA, introducing modern, functional, and energy-efficient design to the community. At GLA, construction administration is central to our commitment to delivering quality work. For this 378-unit multi-family project, we’ve maintained close coordination from concept through completion to ensure a seamless and precise execution of each of the 10-Buildings on this site. Notable features of this build include energy-efficient & resident-focused design elements such as low-E and STC-rated windows as well as smart climate control solutions providing residents with greater control over their utilities. in addition, a strong emphasis on resident well-being through large green spaces, pickle ball courts, and elaborate amenities for relaxation, exercise, or work.

𝗚𝗟𝗔 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰! A few weeks ago, GLA hosted an inspiring Charette Day inspired by the Norman Foster Foundation's "Kharkiv Housing Challenge." Teams spent the day in a dynamic, collaborative environment, using all our architectural design tools to quickly generate and refine ideas. Our goals for the day were to advance design at GLA, foster intense design discussions, enhance cross-functional teamwork, and support our Design Competitions Committee. The creativity and energy displayed were truly inspiring. We look forward to more events that push the boundaries of architectural design at GLA.

In 2022 we showcased the start of construction for The Series at Riverview Landing, a multi-family residential development on the riverfront of the Chattahoochee River in Smyrna, GA. We are pleased to report that this impressive community, comprising of five buildings—two of which are mixed-use—was completed late last year. This development adds a total of 270 residential units and 7,800 square feet of commercial space to Riverview Landing. The project faced unique challenges due to its location along the Chattahoochee River, particularly concerning the construction on the soft soil of the riparian zone. Extensive soil sampling and geological surveys were undertaken to ensure stability and safety on this delicate terrain. Our design initiatives were then influenced by the river's significance where possible, leading to the creation of a variety of amenities that harmonize with the environment and a natural color palette to reflect this landscape. The Series not only enhances Smyrna’s housing options, but also harmoniously blends modern architecture with the natural beauty of the Chattahoochee River, providing residents with a unique and enriching living experience that GLA is grateful to have contributed to alongside the developers of Prestwick Construction. Celebrating Fullerton's Top-Out Party! 🎉 We’re excited to mark a significant achievement in affordable family housing in Decatur. The Fullerton project, designed with community at its heart, features 8 garden-style buildings, each 3 to 4 stories high, encompassing a total of 248 units. This development not only offers a place to call home but also enriches lives with in-house amenities including a community room, fitness center, laundry facilities, mailroom, and a game room for leisure and connection. Brought to life by Prestwick Development Company and constructed with precision by Varium Construction Group, Fullerton stands as a beacon of progress in the journey towards more accessible housing nationwide. Let's celebrate this top-out event as a collective triumph in the spirit of community and growth!

Geheber Lewis Architects had the pleasure of attending the ribbon cutting ceremony for the newest affordable housing project in Lawrenceville: South Town Square. The development consists of four apartment buildings, offering a total of 156 units, and includes a standalone clubhouse, playground & mail kiosk. This project represents a significant stride in catering to the community's housing needs, enriching the landscape with more affordable residency choices for local families.
