We’re proud to announce that Breaker Breaker has been awarded a 2024 Award of Excellence by Atlanta’s Urban Design Commission. Working from the project’s onset with the Reynoldstown community, we embraced the site’s former use as a steel fabrication yard and repurposed an existing building set for demolition into a super-roof, both to provide shade and shelter to much of the exterior while also honoring the neighborhoods industrial history. Congratulations to our clients Bridger Properties and their partners Alex Brounstein and Johnny Farrow. Photography: Garey Gomez

About us
Established in 2001, Square Feet Studio is an architecture, planning, and design firm based in Atlanta, Georgia. We are a curious, creative, and versatile group of interior designers, architects, and urban designers who believe sincerely that the opportunities for meaningful design are not simply hatched in the mind of the designer, but are discovered through thoughtful inquiry and critical engagement with the local community, the found conditions of a place, and the essential qualities of a proposed use.

To all of you attending the AUTOMATIC MEET UP next week, mark your agenda for Tuesday, the 17th, from 3:15 to 4:00 pm. I'll be facilitating a discussion with folks in our region who are making it happen today and will be shaping the future of our spaces. Our topic is "Design as a Development Superpower." The discussion will focus on unpacking the specific superpower traits that have brought them to where they are today, identifying which superpowers pair best together, and headlines for the future. If you are just now learning about the meet up – here is a little more info: AUTOMATIC MEETUP is a two-day, one-night shindig bringing together emerging talent in retail, food & beverage, hospitality, entertainment, and wellness with capital providers, property owners, and brokers to build relationships and uncover opportunities. Fantastic food & drink, live music, inspirational talks, private dinners, and small group conversations all combined to launch meaningful relationships. Automatic is a platform for collaboration - a network for doers to connect and make great projects happen. See you Tuesday! A big thank you to the The American Institute of Architects (AIA) chapters of North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia for awarding Georgia Tech’s Ramblin’ Reck Garage with an Aspire Design Citation Award. It was an honor for our team to work with the Georgia Institute of Technology and the Ramblin’ Reck Club to design the Reck’s new permanent home dedicated to the display, care, and public engagement for the vehicle and beloved mascot. Congratulations to the other projects that were also acknowledged for their contributions to the built environment in the Southeast! Photography by Garey Gomez
