#SafetyTip of the Month: Ladder Safety This month, GEM would like to highlight the importance of ladder safety and share some helpful tips for reducing the risk of ladder-related incidents and injuries: - Use lightweight ladders, and be cautious of electrical contact if the ladder is metal. - Seek assistance when moving and setting up ladders. - Set up on solid, level ground. - Use a 4 to 1 ratio or 75-degree angle when setting up a ladder. - Do not use a folded step ladder in a leaning position. - An extension ladder must extend three feet above upper landing. - Maintain three points of contact.
