“We chose this community need for our Bronze Award project because we all knew someone in our life who had been affected by cancer," said Troop 3504. "In our own school, we had a student who was diagnosed with cancer and we wanted to come up with an idea that could help him, but also other kids, too. We wanted our Cancer Comfort Kits to bring joy and fun in an otherwise tough time. The message we wanted to share with our kits was "You've got this, keep fighting!" Follow the link below to hear more from these fourth and fifth graders who dedicated 20 hours toward carefully curating 35 cancer comfort kits for pre-teens, teens and youth-aged patients with a life-changing diagnosis at a nearby hospital. https://lnkd.in/dsMAGmSD

Building our future leaders!
About us
Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place. Membership in Girl Scouts is open to girls in grades K-12; women and men over the age of 17 can join as adult members. Girls join for fun and friendship, but they also learn about building character and self-esteem and serving their communities—the core qualities of Girl Scouting. In partnership with committed adults, girls develop qualities that will serve them all their lives – like strong values, social conscience and conviction about their own potential and self-worth. Proud partner of United Way.
