Last Saturday, we had the pleasure of meeting with the Rotary International students who visited Global Cleveland to learn about our organization and how we support newcomers. This included domestic students intending to participate in an exchange abroad and students visiting from countries such as Brazil, Taiwan, Belgium, and Thailand, among others. Organized by Ingrida Bublys, Honorary Consul of Lithuania, in addition to the meeting, the students also spent the day touring Cleveland, seeing sights such as Tower City, Playhouse Square, and other sights. Thank you so much for stopping by. We enjoyed our time with you and hope you enjoyed Cleveland!

Check out this insightful blog about international medical graduates crafted by one of our former interns, @Tess Rosler. This article gives a well-rounded explanation of how IMGs can help fill the gap in the healthcare crisis and the urgency of addressing barriers that keep them from working in the field. https://lnkd.in/gug2CRWe To learn more about how IMGs can solve Ohio healthcare shortages, check out Tess's complete analysis: Immigration Policy as a Matter of Public Health: Reducing Barriers for International Medical Graduates in Ohio. https://bit.ly/3YXgnCF

We are at the end of Hispanic Heritage Month, but let's continue to celebrate Hispanic Heritage all year long! Continuing with this year's theme for Hispanic Heritage Month, Pioneers of Change: Shaping the Future Together, let's celebrate the collective efforts of three pioneers, Ismael Flores, José C. Feliciano, Jr., and Jorge Lozada. Together, they are shaping the future of one of the most prominent organizations in Cleveland, The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority. Ismael is the DEI Program Administrator and manager of all four of GCRTA's employee resource groups. Ismael has extensive experience in DEI, serving as Sr. Inclusion and Diversity Strategist in his past employment, and has multiple educational accolades in DEI. Jorge Lozada is one of the founders and co-chairs for RTA Latinos Unidos, RTA's second Employee Resource Group. He also collaborates with organizations such as the Hispanic Police Officers' Association and the Hispanic Business Center and was recognized in the 2024 class of 100+ Latinos Cleveland Must Know. In addition to his role in intergovernmental relations, José co-founded and co-chairs the Latino Employee Resource Group (Latinos Unidos) at GCRTA and the Legislative Committee for the Ohio Public Transit Association (OPTA). He has also been recognized by Cleveland Magazine, Crain's Cleveland Business, and was named a Distinguished Hispanic Ohioan by the Governor. We hope you had a very happy and prosperous Hispanic Heritage Month! Greater Cleveland RTA #hispanicheritagemonth #hispanicheritage
