"Because of the #PRC’s advanced capabilities, #resilience is the best bet to buy time in the face of potential invasion." Evan Lee, the co-founder of the ABTaiwan Project, and Erin Wong, a writer from the same project, argue in their #GTB that #Taiwan should develop #innovative strategies to defend itself again PRC's possible invasion, drawing lessons from countries like #Ukraine. The use of #drones, offensive #cyber capabilities, and #partnerships with private industry and international allies are highlighted in authors' recommendations. But how do US export controls and industrial policies affect Taiwan's strategic position? Lery Hiciano, a recent graduate from National Chengchi University, explores this question in their new article published in the #GlobalTaiwanBrief. 💬 "Rather than complete regionalization, we’re seeing the development of “trusted networks” of supply chains that span multiple friendly nations." Yu-Ning Chiu, a policy analyst at the Research Institute for Democracy, Society, and Emerging Technology (DSET), explores #Taiwan's future path under #US and #EU's realignment regarding #SupplyChain and #GreenTransformation. Chiu suggests in her #GTB that Taiwan should leverage its advantages in advanced manufacturing and supply chain management to position itself within emerging “trusted networks.” 📘 Read Chiu's article "Taiwan under the US-EU Strategic Realignment: Supply Chain Resilience, Technological Decoupling and Sustainable Futures" to learn more about the US-EU strategic shifts and how Taiwan can navigate between them: https://ow.ly/wmcI50VccUV

"Before 1987, most museums viewed #China as their main subject and #Taiwan was rarely—if ever—discussed in the exhibition space. However, after 1987, there was a blossoming of Taiwanese consciousness throughout the island and #museums were no different." Lee Moore, an adjunct professor at the University of Oregon, published a report "Taiwan’s Museums: Exploring the Process of #Taiwanesization" as a part of #GTI Taiwan Scholarship Program. Moore discusses how Taiwan's museums have evolved to reflect and shape Taiwanese #identity, analyzing three museums as examples: The National Taiwan Museum, National Palace Museum, and the Southern Branch of the National Palace Museum.
