Thank you to Deloitte's Jonathan Traub and Alexander Brosseau for speaking with our member companies' tax executives. As we prepare for 2025, it was invaluable to hear their insights on the upcoming tax challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

As GBA's 2024 Fall Tax Conference comes to a close, we will continue to prepare for the 2025 tax legislative agenda. Our member companies' top tax executives are grateful to Nick Molling, Tax Counsel for Senator Bill Cassidy's Office, for his insights. This conference would not have been such a success without the support from our co-chairs, Atikah Arifin (Panasonic North America) and John Dostert (Volvo Group), as well as our sponsors, Baker McKenzie and KPMG.

#DYK that more than 50 percent of all #FDI in the U.S. comes from Europe? At today's Washington International Trade Association (WITA) forum, Jonathan Samford, GBA's EVP and incoming president & CEO, discussed the importance of the U.S.-EU trade and investment partnership, stressing the need for cooperation and coordination with America's friends and allies. Moderated by Penny Naas from the German Marshall Fund of the United States, the panel also featured former Assistant U.S. Trade Representative Dan Mullaney, Marco Margheri with Eni, and Lisa Schroeter from Dow. Thank you to WITA for the opportunity to share GBA's perspective.

Global Business Alliance reposted this
Hard to believe that 35 years went by just like that! But it did. Pretty crazy that I’m at that age where I say things like, “When I started out, we didn’t have email. We had to print out our membership memos, put them in individually addressed envelopes, and mail them off using a sponge to adhere the stamps!” Thanks CEO Update for the shoutout & opportunity to reflect.
After 35 years of leadership, Nancy McLernon will retire as GBA’s president and CEO at the end of this year. Do you know GBA’s origin story? Nancy shared with CEO Update how she built the organization into the premier advocacy voice for international companies operating in the U.S.: https://bit.ly/4eTlQPX
