This past weekend, team members from our headquarters in Irvine, CA, volunteered their time at the main campus of the Orange County Rescue Mission, which runs a life-transformation program that provides housing, basic needs and comprehensive services for individuals and families facing homelessness and joblessness.    We toured their campus and then got to work in their kitchen, café, and warehouse where we prepped food, cleaned the dining area and sorted/packed goods. It was a rewarding experience to work side by side with our colleagues, outside of the office, in support of our community!  

As we continue to witness the devastating impact of the fires in Southern California, it’s evident that many individuals, families, and communities are facing significant challenges. Our hearts go out to those impacted and our deepest gratitude is extended to the first responders who are working tirelessly to combat the fires.   In response, GLOVIS America donated $50,000 to the American Red Cross, which will assist in providing emergency aid, shelter, and resources to those who have been displaced or impacted by these fires. Additionally, we donated $50,000 to the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) Foundation, which will equip LAFD members with the tools and supplies needed to battle the fires.    We recognize the importance of standing with our county neighbors during this challenging time and are inspired by seeing people, communities, companies, and organizations come together. Collectively, we can help bring hope and recovery to those who need it most.

We are delighted to share that Sergio Gutierrez has joined the GLOVIS America leadership team as our new Chief Operations Officer. With extensive experience in our industry, Sergio brings with him a wealth of leadership and operational excellence to the organization. He will be responsible for four key areas of our Finished Vehicle Business: Operations, Business Development, Facility & TP Capacity, and Network Growth/Reworking. Additionally, Sergio will lead all strategies and effectiveness for today and the future for our Finished Vehicle Business.  Congratulations, Sergio, on your new role and best wishes for success - we look forward to many achievements together!

In a continued effort to give back to our community, volunteers from our headquarters in Irvine, CA, spent a Saturday morning helping the OC Rescue Mission, whose purpose is to provide a life-transformation program to individuals and families facing homelessness and joblessness. They went to the OC Rescue Mission's Double R Ranch to landscape and remove fire hazardous material. Performing this chore on behalf of the program participants allowed them to focus more time on their development. Thank you to our volunteers for their time, support and elbow grease!

We started off the week honoring our Veterans and then learned our CEO was the recipient of the Patriot Award in recognition of the company's support of the Guard and Reserve!

Recently, 60 employees from our vehicle processing center (VPC) in Montgomery, AL, proudly joined their community in the fight against breast cancer by participating in the Walk of Life for breast cancer. They walked not just for awareness, but for the strength, courage, and resilience of those battling breast cancer, the survivors who inspire us, and the loved ones we’ve lost. Thank you to everyone who walked, donated, and cheered them on! Let’s continue to support each other, both inside and outside the workplace.

This past weekend, team members from our headquarters in Irvine, CA, volunteered with OC Habitats. Engaging in this hands-on activity not only allowed us to make a tangible impact but also furthered our commitment to corporate social responsibility. We spent the day at the Huntington Beach Wetlands Conservancy uprooting ice plants, which are harmful to the ecosystem as they take away water, light, and nutrients from native plants. It was truly inspiring to see how small efforts can create big changes in our community.
