Tuesday, February 11th, ABC Central Florida had the pleasure of hosting the Monthly Membership Meeting for NAWIC Greater Orlando Chapter 73. Steel forms the backbone of some of Tampa Bay's most dynamic healthcare projects--and we took architects to visit those projects in person! Last Thursday, AISC and AIA Tampa Bay hosted architects from several firms, including HDR, Harvard Jolly | PBK, and The Beck Group, on a trolley tour with stops at TGH Behavioral Health Hospital, USF Student Health and Wellness Center, and St. Anthony's Hospital. Project team leaders from JE Dunn Construction, GMF Steel Group, Gresham Smith, Walter P Moore, and MiTek SidePlate Connection Designs gave participants the scoop on the design innovations made possible by using structural steel.
