This morning, our director of response, Chloe Forman, spoke with the team at FOX Weather about how All Hands and Hearts is responding to the devastating tornadoes and storm system that swept through the Midwest and Southeastern United States this weekend. Our team is already on the ground, committed to supporting immediate relief efforts. We are witnessing widespread destruction and significant damage, and we are leveraging our 20 years of disaster response experience to support these communities by issuing safety warnings, coordinating with state and local VOADs, and developing a plan to assist in debris cleanup efforts. To stay up to date on our work in these communities, follow along here and visit our website at allhandsandhearts.org. You can also support our efforts by donating here today https://bit.ly/3DVR4bS. WCK’s Relief Team is on our way to the central and southern United States to support communities impacted by this weekend’s devastating weather system. The storms caused wildfires, tornadoes, and dust storms in states across the region. This is a quickly evolving situation—we’ll share more information as soon as we have it. • This is how you show up for your community 👏 Wildfire recovery is ongoing in Los Angeles, and we're proud to support many of those efforts. That includes the amazing team from The A List. They have transformed two of their buildings into community hubs that provide families in need with essentials. "Through our partnership with the LAUSD Pasadena Education Foundation, we’re able to serve over 100 families daily," they shared on GoFundMe. "What makes our efforts unique is the personal touch—we pair each person with a volunteer to help them find exactly what they need, whether it’s clothing, shoes, or other essentials. This isn’t just about relief; it’s about restoring dignity and hope to those working to rebuild their lives." They're going to continue this work, but need help to do so. Read more about them and show your support here: https://gfme.co/4kXFcqs Many thanks to team and volunteers at The A List who have made this all possible!

Streaming for good is officially here! The GoFundMe streaming tool is revolutionizing how communities come together for a cause—integrating seamlessly with popular platforms and empowering streamers to activate their audiences like never before. It’s been one of the most exciting developments of the last few months! (Partially because the amazing team behind it made it happen FAST.) We've already seen incredible examples of the tool in action. From Swifties to Dude Perfect, so many communities have achieved (and gone far past) their fundraising goals. The latest example: on Friday evening, Starlight Children's Foundation and PlayVS teamed up to raise money for Starlight’s mission to support sick children by playing a crucial role in the overall care of hospitalized kids. The power of gaming + fundraising was on full display, with content creators like Saint Cola, VikkiKitty, SierraDawn, and BassfromthePast live on Twitch, rallying their fans to surpass the fundraiser’s $10,000 goal. Kudos to the GoFundMe team who made this and so many other cool streaming moments happen. Which streamers should we collaborate with next? Let me know in the comments!

Is there anything better than a great conversation? How about dozens over the course of a long weekend at #SXSW2025?! Friday I was honored to share the stage with the extraordinary Angelique Albert and Sarah Haacke Byrd on Friday to highlight how women are changing the game of #philanthropy! Following our panel we enjoyed an extraordinary dinner at LENOIR RESTAURANT LLC hosted by Lili Strasser and the GoFundMe team celebrating the ways in which the assembled women were changing the game across the social sector. Saturday, Lili Strasser, Amanda Brown Lierman, Morgan OConnor, Devin Bellamy, Sydney Ashworth, and Monica Khan were back at it hosting hundreds of people over the course of many fantastic hours talking about how we are innovating for social good. Thank you to all the extraordinary people who made this such a powerful experience and keep telling each other what matters most to you. The world changes for the better through these extraordinary conversations!

I recently had the pleasure of speaking with Brianna from IT Brew about one of the most impactful projects our IT and Security teams at GoFundMe have implemented: transitioning our employees to phishing-resistant MFA using YubiKeys. I'm incredibly proud of this effort, as it significantly enhances our security posture and helps safeguard our platform and users. https://lnkd.in/g3iSCk2g

This year, I had the opportunity to plan and lead GoFundMe’s first-ever on-the-ground presence at SXSW—from curating conversations to designing meaningful spaces for connection. The goal was simple: show up with intention, foster real relationships, and highlight the incredible work being done in the world of giving. 💡 Key Moments from the Weekend A powerful panel discussion explored how women are reshaping philanthropy, featuring Margaret L. Richardson, Angelique Albert, and Sarah Haacke Byrd. With the largest generational wealth transfer in history underway, the conversation centered on how women are giving differently—and the impact that will have for generations to come. On Friday night, we brought together 20 women leading nonprofits, philanthropy, and community impact work, this dinner created space for deeper conversations and new collaborations. Hosted at a female-owned restaurant and supported by all-female vendors, every detail was designed to celebrate the power of generosity and leadership. To close out the weekend, we hosted a happy hour where attendees could engage with GoFundMe in a hands-on way. The response was incredible! 300+ attendees, tons of new GoFundMe Profiles created, the busiest night the bar has ever had, and $3,000 donated to local Texas nonprofits. Biggest Takeaway? The Power of Showing Up. ✨ People crave connection – Thoughtfully designed spaces lead to stronger relationships and deeper impact. 🚀 Innovation drives engagement – When people experience what’s possible, they’re excited to get involved. 🤝 Being in the room matters – Face-to-face interactions build trust and long-term partnerships. SXSW reinforced that GoFundMe isn’t just an online platform—it’s a brand that fosters generosity and community in real life. Excited for what’s next and grateful for everyone who made this possible.

Always trying to do my part, to do good.

First SXSW experience … And I’ll definitely do it again! On Friday, Margaret led a conversation with Angelique Albert, LLD and Sarah Haacke Byrd about how women are changing the game of philanthropy. We have gone from traditional to transformational, and the change has really been led by women — as donors and organizational leaders. That panel was followed by the most beautiful and delicious dinner at a women-owned restaurant - perfectly organized by Lili Strasser. We had a room of powerhouse women, all of whom are breaking barriers, challenging norms, and leading by example and with love. Can we do that every Friday night?! I’m so serious. GoFundMe’s Innovating for Good event was on Saturday afternoon. The green aesthetic of the brewery was the perfect match for our brand and creative. Dave Carlson, you would have been proud! Huge shout out to Sydney Ashworth for the bts help and womanning our mission activity, which supported three local non profits; and to Morgan OConnor and Devin Bellamy for the activation support, content capture … and jumping into the conversations Margaret and I pulled you into all weekend. And thank you again Lili for thinking about every detail. The most amazing team, fitting for International Women’s Day too. 🫶🏽 In these 48 hours, I also… Ran into friends. Made new ones. Ate bbq. And signed up to be a monthly donor to the International Rescue Committee after a volunteer named Jess stopped me on the street. *I missed my flight on the way home which I was very cranky about. But I’m fully caught up on LIB Minneapolis now and have lots of thoughts. #InnovatingForGood #WomenInPhilanthropy #SXSW
