Offer a variety of services to help small water and wastewater systems. GEL services include: Education- Our certified instructors perform certification classes for operations and laboratory licenses. Operational Support & Consulting: Our team of operators, chemists, former State officials, maintenance techs, engineers, and IT, help clients solve most operational issues. Everything from treatment troubleshooting, regulatory violations, to emergency operations. Some of our work outside of water/wastewater includes working with Food Animal Companies to ensure their aseptic process is adequate and working side by side with local vets and towns to combat blue green algal blooms. Retainer Services: Small and large companies or municipalities need constant support for water, wastewater, environmental aspects. We offer a retainer service that provides our clients access to these experts at any given time. From boil orders to needing assistance with an environmental PR issue, GEL can provide support and solve the problems. Environmental Testing: We are currently building out our environmental lab in Guthrie, Oklahoma. This lab will be able to perform common water/wastewater testing along with complex microbial parameters.

Tardigrade enjoying volvox algae. The tardigrade, also known as the water bear, has the most foreign genes among animals studied. About one-sixth of its genes are borrowed from various sources like bacteria, plants, fungi, and Archaea. This genetic diversity is believed to be key to the water bear's ability to survive in extreme conditions. It also likes to eat volvox algae by piercing the cells and sucking out the contents though it’s tube-shaped mouths.
France is testing for 6 specific pathogens during the Olympics. They are viewing this time as a chance to not only look for pathogens dangerous to the public but also collect data on the attendees. Since so many people and cultures are together in 1 place, they are using wastewater data to build profiles through data. The 6 pathogens they are looking for during the Olympics are- polio, influenza A, influenza B, mpox, COVID-19, and measles. https://lnkd.in/dX7agfVs
