Business mind: Time for my mid-year report. Starting, building and running your own business is not easy. I’ve done it before many moons ago but this time, it’s different. This time, it’s not only what you know, it’s how to connect with people who need your service through social media. It’s a new market, bigger and better but also can be demanding and more intrusive. No matter how much I wanted my customers to come through my business, I got better results from my personal pages by just being authentically me. Like it or not, my clients connected with ME. I wanted to hide. That means I have to be vulnerable. I have to get comfortable being uncomfortable. I am thankful it didn’t take me longer to discover this nugget of wisdom. I am grateful. ☺️ Personal mind: Mid-year check-in 6 months without a steady stream of income. Are you crazy!!!!! Corporate America was your thing!!! What are you thinking?!!! God has blessed me 6 months in He will bless me 6 months more! It took me 6 months of faith to know I got me 6 months more. Many more. He will guide and direct my steps! I cannot quit. I will not quit. I am on my journey now. You all have a blessed day!!!

More Faces, More Places, and New Connections. Last week, I had the pleasure of meeting ten incredible professionals, each bringing a unique skill to the business world. Most of them were virtual connections, their faces appearing on my screen, voices filling the silence of my home office. A few were in-person meetings, where we could talk, sip, and eat at ease while supporting our local businesses. We talked about family, passions, shared expertise, and discovered common ground in our desire to make a difference in our lives and those around us. Each conversation was a journey, a chance to learn, to share, and to connect. It's amazing how the world shrinks when you find people who. share your passion, who understand the challenges and rewards of the senior care industry. I found this to be the case with Rick Roberts and Rick Messemer, CSA. Both were familiar with the heartache of caring seniors and navigating the healthcare system. Hearing their stories and challenges, such as Rick Roberts discussing senior living options and rising costs, and Rick Messemer addressing the lack of proper estate planning, felt like speaking a language we all understood without needing many words. They are now on my exclusive resource list. After a disappointing morning, my last face-to-face meeting was just what I needed to lift my spirits. I can't forget Rebecca Fillion, a mobile notary whose genuine smile is infectious. Her energy is palpable, and the Triangle Area is fortunate to have someone like her. I desperately needed her positive energy, her optimistic outlook, and her warm smile to carry me through my next meeting. So, I put on my WW Superhero cape and went to tackle the rest of my day. 😎 These connections are more than just names on a LinkedIn page.
