For more than 60 years, Goodwill Industries of Central Florida has provided vocational and job placement services to tens of thousands of people living in Central Florida. Through 31 retail/outlet stores and 16 Donation Xpress locations in Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Brevard, Lake and Volusia counties, Goodwill diverted more than 20 million pounds of clothing and household items from landfills in 2022. Goodwill Industries of Central Florida directly channels more than 90 percent of its annual revenue into programs that enable individuals to secure meaningful employment, achieve their personal goals and thrive economically. In 2022, more than 20 million pounds of textile waste and other non-compostable items were diverted from local landfills across our six-county region. OUR ACCOLADES: - Goodwill Scholars is a new employee benefit unique to Goodwill Industries of Central Florida. Part-time and full-time employees are able to pursue higher education via a Florida-state public university, college, or accredited technical college and trade school without the financial burden of upfront costs of tuition, books, and other fees. Employees are able to take advantage of this education benefit after 90 days of continuous employment. - Prosperity Planning is a benefit accessible to all employees at Goodwill Industries of Central Florida. This initiative matches employees with a dedicated Prosperity Planner for one-on-one, confidential career and financial planning. - 403(b) company match up to 4%, vested fully after one year of employment. - More than 20 million pounds of textile and material waste diverted from local landfills in Brevard, Lake, Orange, Osceola, Seminole, and Volusia counties.

We are thrilled to welcome Bahiyyah Maroon Ph.D. as Goodwill Central Florida’s new Vice President of Mission Impact. With over 15 years of experience leading social good organizations to create positive change, Dr. Maroon has provided strategic insights to global powerhouses such as Intel, the U.S. Departments of Justice and Labor, Harvard University, and Columbia University. She holds both an MA and Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and is the author of Black Lives, American Love (Chicago Review Press, 2023), a collection of essays on social justice and resilience. Dr. Maroon’s extensive background includes nearly six years at Polis Institute, where she served as Chief Data Officer and later CEO, guiding data-driven solutions to community challenges.
