Spire Global, Inc. (NYSE: SPIR) has been awarded a $3,832,500 contract by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to provide radio occultation (RO) data for one year, from September 18, 2024, to September 18, 2025. This data, consisting of vertical profiles of atmospheric measurements, will be used for NOAA's operational weather forecasts, space weather models, and climate research. The contract is part of an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) agreement with a $59 million ceiling for NOAA's Commercial Weather Data Program's Radio Occultation Data Buy II. Parsons (NYSE: PSN) has secured a $68.5 million contract from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Honolulu District to design and build new Army housing units in the Kwajalein Atoll, Republic of the Marshall Islands. This three-year contract represents new business for Parsons. Additionally, the company has been selected for the district's Pre-Qualified Source Listing, making it eligible for future large task orders valued at $50 million or more. This award expands Parsons' work in the Kwajalein Atoll, known for its logistical challenges and corrosive environment. It follows a $44 million contract awarded in October 2023 for similar housing projects. Since 2019, Parsons has secured over $400 million in INDOPACOM-related contracts, leveraging its expertise in program management, engineering, and complex infrastructure. Ethernity Networks said it expects the U.S. government to imminently approve a $1.05 million licensing deal to supply silicon-tuned software to an unnamed defense company, despite an unforeseen delay. The group, which supplies data processing chip technology for networking appliances, said Monday that the deal was still awaiting approval by U.S. authorities.
