  • We welcomed top officials from the federal Administration for Children and Families (ACF) to tour our facilities today. Our CEO Vilma Martinez-Dominguez briefed Jeff Hild, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary, on GLCAC’s programs that work together to address the economic and social well-being of families and individuals. The group visited our 305 Essex Street main offices and the new Dr. Thomas S. Perrault Childcare Center on Andover St. Center Director Angie Bombard led a tour of the newly constructed school that has 30% more seats. Access to affordable childcare is critical in greater Lawrence, and with six early learning sites, GLCAC is leading the way. Milagros Hernández, who son attended Head Start, told her story of becoming U.S. Citizen with the help of GLCAC’s story. Joining us was State Senator Pavel Payano. For more information on early learning or to enroll, call 978-681-4920 or email Lynnett Cora at lcora@glcac.org. Massachusetts Association for Community Action (MASSCAP) #communityactionMA
