Founded in 1947 by Curtis McKenzie, Kenneth McKenzie, and Woodrow Brittain, the company prospered under their leadership. “There were at least 50 or so other grocery warehouses within a 100-mile radius of us,” remembered Kenneth McKenzie. Today, GSC Enterprises, Inc. operates two primary business segments: Grocery Supply Company (c-store distribution) and Fidelity Express (alternative financial services). After 14 major expansions, Grocery Supply Company has over 450,000 square feet of space with more than 10,000 items in inventory. Whether you’re a single store operator or a large regional chain, our extensive product line of dry, refrigerated, and frozen items will surely meet your needs. GSC primarily serves convenient stores throughout Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Kansas, and Missouri. GSC remains a family owned and operated business, with Michael K. McKenzie (second generation) serving as Chairman of the Board and Ryan McKenzie (third generation) serving as Chief Operating Officer. GSC recently gave $5,000 to CASA for Kids of South Central Texas, based in Brenham, TX. GSC has long supported CASA in Sulphur Springs and is pleased to make a meaningful contribution to the Brenham chapter. About Texas CASA: When a child enters the foster care system because his or her home is no longer safe, a judge may appoint a committed volunteer to help them. That volunteer is called a Court Appointed Special Advocate®, or CASA. CASA for Kids of South Central Texas recruits, trains and supports court-appointed volunteers who advocate for the best interest of the children in foster care so every child who has experienced abuse or neglect can be safe, have a permanent home and the opportunity to thrive.
