🏃♂️ The project has entered the home stretch - just 6 months are left before the end of the project and the Final Conference in Brussels on 10 December! 👥 At the last INVITE Annual Meeting in Florence earlier this month, we spoke with the project coordinator and partners to discuss the key results of their activities and their practical applications. ✅ The INVITE project coordinator francois laurens, INRAE shared the main outcomes of the project and provided insights on the remaining dissemination activities: https://lnkd.in/gibmbBnj 🌐 For the latest updates, visit our website: h2020-invite.eu #varietytesting #varietyregistration #phenotyping #genotyping #modelling #envirotyping #EUGreenDeal #sustainableagriculture #EUFarm2Fork #plantbreeding
About us
The overall objective of INVITE (www.h2020-invite.EU), a 5-year European Union funded project, is to foster the introduction of new varieties better adapted to varying production conditions and to more sustainable crop management practices. In the context where agriculture is increasingly being urged to reduce its dependency on external inputs, lower its environmental footprint and cope with more variable climatic conditions, INVITE aims to help the valorisation and the promotion of varieties that are more adapted to sustainable management practices, and more resilient to climate change. The aim of the INVITE project is to improve both efficiency of variety testing and the information available to stakeholders on variety performance under a range of production conditions and biotic and abiotic stresses. The objective of this group is to create a community of stakeholders interested in this project and willing to share relevant news and activities regarding variety testing.
