Karen Lazarus, we couldn’t agree more. Thank you and the entire myFace team for allowing Hapner-Hart Media Inc. to play a small part in the incredible work you do to support individuals who are beyond inspiring.
I’ve been working for myFace for 6+ years now. It’s individuals like Naomi, pictured here in this bus ad, that have opened my eyes to what it’s like to live with a craniofacial difference. To understand the medical and psychological challenges they may face. And also to understand that they want to be treated like everyone else. It’s important to not only hear, but listen to what they say. I don’t have a craniofacial difference, nor have I had dozens of surgeries or experienced bullying that profoundly impacted my life. What I do know is that the more we educate ourselves, the more we talk to people who are willing to share their experiences, the more we can change our ingrained perceptions of what we think things should be. Thank you, Naomi Levinshtein, for being such an important advocate for the craniofacial community, for redefining beauty standards through your work as a makeup artist and photographer, and for educating people like me. And mostly for having the courage to stand up for what you believe in. You’ve got this! #MyFaceIsBeautiful #thisismyFace #craniofacial #facialdifferences #diversityandinclusion Thank you Jake Mickey and the team at JCDecaux North America, Inc., Steven Speliotis, Reiko Yoo, Rick Guidotti and Terry M. (Hapner-Hart Media Inc.) for bringing this campaign to life. And of course, Anderson Pleasants, Kei Otake, Anibel Bruce, David C. and Dina Zuckerberg !
