Meet Zahra, a second-year JD/MPP student at Harvard Kennedy School and Harvard Law School, who contributed as a summer intern to our ongoing #migration project funded by the Templeton World Charity Foundation. "I think this research has the potential to help a number of different types of stakeholders – countries, non-profit organizations, multi-laterals, and academics – better understand the ‘softer’ levers that can influence immigration beyond visa restrictions or economic incentives." #StudentStories Zahra Saifi https://lnkd.in/eHVUyexr

Former U.S. Assistant Secretary, Economic Development Administration. Servant leader, social impact advocate and disruptor
Among the key challenges in driving inclusive and equitable economic development is the necessity to provide capacity building tools and methods in distressed and underserved communities. Grateful to Nathan Ohle for sharing insights with the audience at the Institute of Politics at Harvard Kennedy School and Harvard's Growth Lab. Nathan, an experienced economic development practitioner, offered valuable perspectives on the obstacles and prospects encountered by communities in formulating strategies, policies, and programs to establish sustainable ecosystems for economic growth. Thank you Nathan for your work leading International Economic Development Council and for providing researchers, faculty, graduate and undergraduate students a chance to understand the challenges and opportunities to drive growth in communities across America. Huge shout out to the IOP leadership and team for making this all happen. Setti Warren, Kimberly Peeples, Taylor Woods-Gauthier, Zoe Anderson
