Meet Marlene Gonzalez, Juntos Aprendemos program manager What inspired you to apply for the Juntos Aprendemos manager position? My decision to apply for the Juntos Aprendemos (JA) manager position was not only influenced by a friend, but also by my unique blend of passion for community service and demonstrated commitment through my tenure at ESDs. This blend, coupled with my captivation by ESDs’ innovative and creative solutions, makes me a strong candidate for the manager position. I was elated at the opportunity to extend this service to the Latin community and nurture early literacy when I learned about the role. What were you doing before you accepted this new position, and how did it prepare you for the JA manager role? Before accepting this new position... more at https://ow.ly/7FTR50SfHIE

Being a substitute offered the opportunity to explore a wide variety of roles and grade levels, and to see things from many perspectives. My first substitute experience led to a full-time position for 15 years as a... https://ow.ly/cqEC50RYZTr

Katie, also known as the Tree Lady, conducted an informative session for the children, discussing various tree species, seeds, and the creatures that inhabit trees. As an interactive activity, she guided the kids to make seed-infused paper they could later plant. Surprisingly, there was leftover pulp, and Katie kindly offered the early childhood staff the opportunity to make their own paper. As the children were engrossed in play, it allowed them to embrace their inner child as well. #cometoworktoplay #wearehiringnow
