The Labor Day holiday has passed, but we kept the celebration going today with a cookout at each of our locations. There’s another “labor day” on our calendar, too! Buyer Kacey Graves, pictured here with her Purchasing family at our Circleville location, is due Sept. 19. We look forward to the expansion of our extended family! 

Personal connections are key to building lasting relationships and we’re committed to making as many as we can. That’s why National Sales Manager Amanda Pflug and Account Manager Eric Trent spent a few days last week at the Wyoming Hospital Association’s Annual Meeting. Join us as we celebrate Matt Carver, Director of Facilities and Safety, on his whopping 20-year service anniversary! What motivates Matt to show up every day? “Doing my part to take care of the customer,” he said. “I love helping people, finding solutions to problems and getting things done. I have a great team that works hard every day to make a difference and I couldn’t do what I do without them.” It wasn’t one single piece of advice anyone gave Matt, but several encouraging words from different people over the years that helped him most in his career: 1. Be an encourager, not a discourager. 2. Have a ‘service oriented’ mindset. 3. Don’t be afraid to fail and learn from your mistakes. 4. Have fun every day; don’t just live for the weekend. “I have been blessed being able to work with a lot of great people at HCL®.”   In his free time, Matt enjoys spending time with his family. “I love being a dad and my wife is my best friend. What more could a man ask for?” We are thankful for his bright outlook and the positive energy he brings to work every day!
