Sharing Heeluxe's "Best Of" every year is one of our favorite traditions. What Best Of categories do you want to see?
Heeluxe Wrapped--our annual Best Of list--is finally here! And for 2024 we're bringing you more of your favorite categories plus a few new ones. All with the goal of helping you make better shoes. We started Wrapped 3 years ago in response to footwear brands asking us what the best shoes in our database were. These insights help brands set performance benchmarks for their new styles. This year we're starting with a very popular category: energy return. The top performing shoe in 2024 is the New Balance Super Comp Pacer v2. It offers 79.42% Energy Return on our Hulk Impact testing (astm 1976F, 5J). Energy Return is a valuable metric for shoe categories like running, basketball, and tennis. Higher energy return is associated with a more lively feel underfoot and improved performance metrics for athletes. Note--not all shoes require high energy return! If you need help understanding when and where to use high energy return the HEELUXE, LLC scientists are happy to help you. To be eligible for Wrapped 2024, the shoe must have been tested in the past 12 months and be a production shoe that is currently available to the public. Do you have a production or sample shoe that you think has better energy return? We'd be happy to test it to see how it does against our entire database.
